I couldn’t stop thinking about what Kelsey had told me. Although she made it seem like a simple warning, I could tell there was something troubling her. She knew a whole lot more than she was willing to spill. I could have forced her to tell me but she hated me enough already. I needed her to soften, and not harden towards me.

I picked up my report and turned the TV off, having watched enough of the boring news. The pack house was silent, way too silent. I decided to go and check on my little brother to find out what he was up to. Maybe I was underestimating him. Sometimes hatred can grow slowly until it becomes something that ends up causing a disaster.
