Avoiding Jackson

I spent the next two weeks avoiding Jackson. I had returned to my room in the servant’s quarters and asked Francesca to give me roles that didn’t involve serving the alpha directly and she obliged which made it easier to avoid running into Jackson. Jackson did not also bother to look for me so the distance between us grew each day. Thankfully, I never felt any mating related pain which made me happy. At least he was not sleeping with Mia or any other woman.

Kat left the day after the celebration. I’d never seen her so happy. She promised to help me repair the relationship with my parents and she fulfilled it.
