Jackson.

I stared at the phone for a few minutes before picking up.

“Hello?”

A chuckle echoed from the other end of the line. “Hello Jackson King, I hope you’re ready for what’s about to happen to you.”

The dread I had been feeling since the phone rang finally made sense. Nothing good could come from Bryson. Even when he feigned niceness, you could tell there was great evil inside him.

“What do you want, Bryson?” I asked, trying to remain civil. All I wanted was to send that fool straight to hell.

“Oh Jackson,” Bryson said before chuckling. “I called to warn you. You need to prepare for what’s about to come your way. I know you think you’re unbeatable but I’m very sure you will not survive this. It’s going to come in a way you least expect.”
