Chapter III

Amorivia flung her eyes open as if she has just been revived from a sudden death. She breathed heavily and the moment she breathed calmly she gulped looking around.

"Where am I?" She shakily whispers and immediately stands up. She slapped her forehead two-three times and her breath heaved again. "I'm dreaming," she told herself but even a pinch couldn't wake her up.

Then Amorivia remembers flying with Peter but for some reason, she doesn't remember his face nor his gaze. "What did Peter look like?" She asked herself.

A loud noise had disturbed her thinking. The noise seemed like someone has fired a Long Tom and then again, and again and—

"Duck!" Someone yelled that made her turn around. Before she could even see who yelled it, her eyes widened when a young boy her height had jumped on her. And they both fell on the ground.

Amorivia's head was drawn back against the ground so she can see the boy's face better. "Who are you?" She manages to ask.

"Who are you?" The young boy repeated, frowning at Amorivia.

She swallowed before answering, "I am Amorivia."

"Well then Amorivia, lady, I am the last lost boy," the boy cockily told Amorivia.

"The last lost boy? Where are the others?" She questions, forgetting that she was still on the ground.

"Didn't you know? They went along with Wendy and the recruits... well, Peter thins them out when they start to grow up," he answered.

Amorivia gasped. "Peter! You know Peter?" Completely ignoring that the boy had told her Peter's crime of either banishing or killing the lost boys.

"Of course I do! He's our captain."

Soon enough she realizes she's still on the ground so she cleared her throat. "Will you get off me, please?"

The lost boy then flew back, and yes, he can fly without pixie dust.

"Thank you."

Amorivia was still getting the Never leaves off her, so are some grains of sands when suddenly a loud blow they heard.

"Quickly!" Yells the lost boy, grabbing her hand.

"Oh my!" She yells when her feet lift up the ground. Now she's flying with him in the air.

They were above the trees and she could see a pirate ship like of Captain James Hook!

"Is this for real?" She asked the boy.

The lost boy looks back to her and displays one of the sweetest smiles she has ever seen. "Are you holding my hand?"

Amorivia stared at him till he looks ahead. She looks down, by the way, the sun is just rising and everything in her Neverland was on its wait to lighten up.

This was the most beautiful place she has ever flown over. Not even the Earth's most beautiful place could ever compare to her Neverland. Why of course, she created her Neverland with which she is fond of in the real world colliding with her imagination.

Make-believe, just like how Peter, Wendy and the lost boys had sometimes pretended that they were drinking teas and ate foods.

"What does Peter look like?" Amorivia asked again.

"I thought he brought you in here? So how come you don't know?" He asked her back.

"I-I for some reason forget how he looks like. Also, I didn't know how I got here."

The lost boy laughed mockingly at her answer.

"What's so funny?" Amorivia's brows furrowed.

"You are, Amorivia, lady. How you forgot is funny to me."

The furrows on Amorivia's forehead remained. She hates the cockiness of this boy but she recalls that Peter was cocky. Peter might be this boy but just playing with her, she thought.

"Are we still flying away from Captain Hook?" She asked the boy.

"Who's Captain Hook?" He asked back.

"Isn't James Hook the pirate who wants to kill Peter Pan?"

"Oh yes! With Smee in his ship! Hook is afraid of his own unnaturally coloured blood and oh the saltwater crocodile."

Amorivia felt lost within this boy's words. It seems to her that this boy forgets and then suddenly remembers again.

"So, are we going to the underground house?"

"Underground house? Only the trolls live there!"

"Isn't it where the lost boys and Peter Pan lives?"

"Yes, it is there that the lost boys and Peter lives."

Now, that confused the beautiful mind of Amorivia. This boy is so confusing that she is confused with her own thoughts as well.

"So where do you live?" She asked.

"Upon a branch."

"What!"

That surprised her so much that she stopped flying and withdraw her hand. The boy, like her, was surprised too.

"What's wrong Amorivia, lady?" His eyes sparkling as the sun hits them.

"You're not one of the lost boys."

The boy laughed at her face. Even louder than before as he put a hand on his stomach.

"You are funny, Amorivia, lady!" He shouted, wiping his tears of joy. "Of course I am. I am the last—"

"Lost boy I know!" She finishes his sentence, sighing. This isn't what she was expecting. What she expected was to have a lovey-dovey adventure with Peter just like how Wendy, Jane, Margaret and so on until the cycle ends.

"I'm afraid you'll have to find Peter if that's what you want."

Amorivia lifts her head up to the boy. "H-how— y-you can read minds?" She stammers.

"No, you were just being loud," he answers, shaking his head side to side. "And in order to do that, you need to find my captain, Peter."

"Peter is supposed to be by my side! He told me he'd be with me throughout this adventure!" She cried.

"Then, would you like for us to find Peter together?"

Amorivia stares at the boy who claims to be the last lost boy. This boy was confusing, rather very unlike of the lost boys in the Peter Pan movies she watched.

Instead of answering his question, she asked, "Where are we?"

The lost boy showed his flattering smile and said, "In your Neverland".
