CHAPTER 31
We spent our days in bed making love then talking our favorite things. I opened myself to him telling about my childhood and all the things I hated about being a Ford.
And for the first time last night he opened himself to me telling me about his mother, what he remembered about her and how lost he felt when he lost her.
We even talked about the baby we lost, how much it hurt then and how much it still hurt to remember.
Today is our last day here we had just finished dinner and we were back at our room. Lucas was sitting on the balcony watching out the beautiful view.
I walked to him suddenly aware that I needed him to know my feelings for him. I needed to tell him how much I love him.

I tried to get a hold of Lucas but he wouldn't see me or even talk to me. I'm outside on the balcony, on the phone with my mother for the second time today, which is a record for us I try as much as possible to avoid phone calls with her.
