CHAPTER 30
Okay that was a close call, I took a few deep breaths before going back downstairs with Lucas.
We join my parents and Justin in the dining room. We were about to sit down when my other brother Wesley joins us.
"Wes!" I say as he gives me a quick hug.
"I thought you weren't coming?" I ask.
"Yeah I wasn't but Justin said your boyfriend was coming so I canceled all my plans." Wesley said with a smile. I roll my eyes at him before introducing him to Lucas.
The chef serves us all a plate and we start eating with my dad and Lucas back to talking about the stock market.
"So Vanessa when are you taking your vacation for this year?" My mother asks.
"I was thinking we should take a family trip this year." She adds.
"Uhnmm I'm kind of taking my vacation days next week." I say lying. There's nothing worse than a family vacation with my family, it always ends in arguments and honestly I can't deal with any of that at this point in my life.<

I tried to get a hold of Lucas but he wouldn't see me or even talk to me. I'm outside on the balcony, on the phone with my mother for the second time today, which is a record for us I try as much as possible to avoid phone calls with her.
