Nesta’s POV:I traced a small spiral in the dust sitting on the car's half open window, my thoughts scattered everywhere. Devon was buying food at the store but I doubted he would get anything worth eating or not expired at that dingy place. "We need a room." I said to the receptionist- a teenager as soon as I entered the motel. It was a shabby place with a dimly lit reception area, walls covered in torn brown wallpaper and shredded patches on the green carpet which also was marked by numerous black footprints leading in and out of the main door. Nesta’s POV:I woke up to the sound of the front door opening. "Devon?" I croaked out sleepily, my hands clutching the sheets, but he was already gone.
