15. Awkward Glances
The first thing I did when I opened my eyes the next day was to think. Who was that woman I met while I was unconscious? Why did she run away the moment she saw me? Why exactly did she tell me to pretend I never saw her?
These were the questions I asked myself. I was confused. So damn confused, because, that dream felt so real. It was like I was in the real world. Things felt so surreal.
Merely that thought gave me shivers.
She had been singing a Christmas song. Her voice, melodious but sad, why? Could there be dots to connect? All these felt like I was in a mystery movie and asked to play detective.
I quickly got up. It was then I felt my abdomen hitting me intensely. I took my lady care out of my backpack and went to the rest room. My eyes welled up in shock at what I saw.<
