56. A Limit To What I Could Take
As I ran in my human form, I could hear whistling from the breeze blowing the trees.
I made a halt the moment I crossed the entrance to the pack house. My feet immediately started kicking again as I trotted more and more forward. When I got inside, my eyes wandered, searching everywhere for Bane. He wasn’t in sight.
My chest tightened, thudding in so much panic.

And as if in response to my question, Charlie and Sarah approached me.
