Her Gift

[Chloe’s POV]

I held my breath while everyone around me considered my words. The whole situation seemed similar to the first time one of my premonitions from a dream had come true. Would they believe me this time? Or would they think I was crazy like they did the last time?

"The goddess led you." Thia repeated, furrowing her brows. "What exactly does that even mean?"

"It means exactly what it sounds like." I responded, trying to remain calm. "The moon goddess came to me in a dream and provided his name."

No one spoke, causing both fear and anticipation to begin building in me. Jeez, this was nerve-wracking, but if he could be of help, how could I possibly keep this to myself?

"Is this something from another one of your dreams?" Thia asked slowly, crushing my spirit all over again.

"No," I snapped, though it was. However, after having the dream, I followed the goddess’ instructions and found my way to Edward. "I’ve actually met with him and he has helped me with quite a few problems."
