Olivia Steel's P.O.V
"Do you really think that's going to work though. Because come on Jason, you know how annoyingly protective dad can be," I said with a sigh.
He waved me off as we continued to walk out of the schools doors.
"This is our last week of school which gives me time to persuade dad in letting you accompany me to Red Moons Pack. Plus Colton will be there too with a few other pack warriors, so dad shouldn't have a problem."
My eyes gleamed with excitement as I squealed in delight.
"I hope he lets me! I want to witness a treaty being made between two packs."
Jason chuckled as he rolled his eyes while throwing an arm over my shoulder.
"It's not an exciting thing to watch Liv. Just a bunch of men negotiating before we decide on a final settlement that will benefit both packs."
"Okay I admit I'm more excited about exploring other pack lands than the treaty itself."
"And..."
He drawled out knowing my main reason for wanting to go to other packs.
"Come on, I know exploring other packs isn't the only reason why your so eager to go."
I blushed and swatted his shoulder while quickening my steps, avoiding my brothers gaze as he urged me on.
"Ugh fine, I want to find my mate too," I grumbled as my brother laughed.
"See, now that wasn't so bad now was it. Let's just hope that when you find him, I won't be tempted to beat him into a pulp if he wrongs you."
I smiled and sighed dreamily.
"I want something like mum and dads relationship. The way they look at each other as if no one else matters. I want that."
Jason rolled his eyes before pausing in his steps.
"We've heard the stories of how their relationship came to be. It wasn't always sunshine and rainbows sis. They went through hell together before fully embracing the mate bond."
I cringed at the stories my Uncle Mikey had told us about our parents. They did not have a smooth sailing relationship.
But that's not important.
The important thing that mattered was coming out of their struggles stronger than ever. They both held their shoulders up daring people to go against them. They were the power couple people looked up to. They were the reason our pack soared to great lengths.
"Your probably not eager to meet your mate but I am excited to find mine."
Jason chuckled before throwing an arm over my shoulders.
"I don't really care if I meet my mate or not. If I don't then I'm not going to go searching for her. I'm an Alpha. I have so much more responsibilities to take care of than whimpering about finding my mate. She will come when she comes. And if she doesn't then I'm ok with that. I don't really need a Luna to run my pack with an iron fist."
I raised a brow at him as we stopped in front of our cars.
"Your only fooling yourself when you say shit like that. When you see everyone with their mates you will start to yearn for yours. When you attend Alpha conferences and you are the only Alpha with no Luna, then you will feel the depths of true loneliness dear brother. You will envy it, whether you know it or not."
He rolled his eyes and scoffed before walking towards his car saluting me. As soon as he was seated he rolled the window down and started the engine as he stared at me.
"May the best Steel win," he smirked before zooming out of the schools parking lot.
I chuckled before mind linking one of the warriors to come get my car. I ran towards the trees of our school and as soon as I was sure my form was hidden from prying eyes, I shifted and ran towards my destination.
"I will win...I always do," I mind linked as my paws pounded against the forest floors.
The wind bristled through my fur causing my wolf to yap happily. I internally smirked as I pushed myself harder.
I inhaled the fresh air enjoying the adrenaline coursing through my being.
"Nearly there. How's your car fairing sis."
I scoffed at the mocking tone my brother used and ignored his taunts as I continued to run. When I burst through the borders of our pack I let my tongue roll out of my mouth as I ran happily. The welcoming vibes the pack gave out made me smile in content as I entered.
Home sweet home.
When the pack house came into view with the parking spaces being vacant of my brothers car, a wolfish grin appeared on my face. I slowed my running and ran behind a tree to grab the spare clothes stored there.
After I changed, I skipped up the steps and took a seat on the balcony railing, with my legs popped up as I waited patiently for Jason to arrive.
When his tires screeched in front of the house I chuckled as he got out and narrowed his gaze at me.
"Took you long enough. I was getting bored with how long it took you to get here," I said with a smirk.
"You cheated," he said pointing an accusing finger towards me.
"Now now lets not be a sore loser Jase. You never stated we couldn't run in our wolf form. Plus if someone was to be named a cheater then that would be you my dear brother. If I remember correctly you practically stated the challenge before you gapped it out of there."
"Whatever," he grumbled throwing open the front door and walking inside.
I chuckled at his childish antics following him in.
I gleamed when I saw my father in the kitchen doing who knows what with the pan.
"Daddy!" I squealed.
I ran up to him and launched myself on his back as I hugged him. Some people may think I'm too old for this shit but honestly I don't give a fuck.
"How was your trip," I mumbled against his back.
He chuckled and turned around when I released him before acknowledging Jason.
"It was good. Everything is all smooth sailing as we speak. Nothing out of place and surprisingly no rogue attacks have occurred within the last few months. It's starting out to be a good year."
I smiled noticing my fathers good mood and decided to test the waters. I'm sure I won't need Jason's assistance to get him to allow me to go.
"Really that's good to hear. So it seems there is no danger anymore right? We are free to roam as we speak?"
He scoffed before looking at Jason and pointing to me.
"This is why you must be with your sister at all times. Liv you can't just drop your guard if nothings happening. Always be alert no matter the circumstances. The rogues could just be buying time before they do anything."
"But they have no reason to come into our territory's. There is no motives."
"There doesn't need to be with rogues," he said with a shrug.
I looked at Jason and discretely gestured to dad for him to start talking.
He merely crossed his arms and leaned against the counter looking amused as ever while he sipped his soda.
"Ask him if I can accompany you to the treaty signing next week," I mind linked.
He rolled his eyes before looking at our father.
"If you don't mind dad, I personally would like for Liv to accompany me to visit the Blood Moon Pack for the Treaty signing. She will learn a few things watching the exchange."
I watched as my father raised a brow at Jason before looking at me with a narrowed gaze.
"Why do you want to go?"
My eyes widened in shock before I placed a hand on my chest in mock offence.
"What? I have no idea what your talking about. This is news to me as it is for you," I said raising my chin.
"Sure it is," he said rolling his eyes before looking at Jase with a serious expression.
"I will allow it. But if there is any sign of danger, you will personally escort her back here as soon as possible, no later. Am I understood."
"Of course ," he replied with a nod.
My father nodded in approval before meeting my gaze again.
He brought a hand to my cheek as his gaze softened.
"Don't be too much like your mother when your out there. She got herself into a whole lot of trouble," he said with a sigh before a small smile lit his face at the thought of his mate.
"I won't I promise."
I kissed his cheek and looked at Jason with a grin as I slipped out of the kitchen.
It looks like this independent wolf is going on a road trip to the Blood Moon Pack.
Damons P.O.V. I ran pushing my wolf to his limits as I growled. I was furious with Olivia but I was also mad at myself knowing it was my fault, but was too stubborn to admit it. She allowed someone to take her virginity... That was the only thought currently racing through my mind. "Stop running." I snarled at the sound of my brothers voice in my mind. "Fuck off Dimitri," I snarled. I grunted when I was tackled to the ground as he loomed over me with a sneer. "Shift now," he commanded. "Why cant you fucking leave me alone. I will deal with my own shit," I snapped. "Because your being unreasonable." I stood up pushing him off me and shifting back. "How," I said annoyed as I crossed my arms awaiting his response. He remained in wolf form and sat down staring at me. "You were sleeping with Desiree...so tell me dear brother, how does that work? Being angry at your mate
It has been 3 weeks since I last saw my mate and trust me when I say it hasn't gotten better. I thought if I hung out more with Xavier I would slowly start to get over Damon but boy was I wrong. He was constantly in my mind and now to add to it, I had a whole lot of guilt consume me considering I slept with someone who wasn't my mate. "He also slept with someone else...just saying," my wolf Ava said. I rolled my eyes and stopped running placing my hands on my knees as I took deep breaths. I have been running for atleast an hour around our whole territory. I needed this release from all the constant stress on my mind. "Olivia where are you?" Jason questioned through the link. "East of the boarders." "Running?" "Yep, been slacking in training." "Right. We have guests, come back to the pack house." Before I could ask who he cut the link. I ran a hand through my sweaty hair before looking down at wha
We ended up pulling into the fancy building which where a lot of people live which Im assuming is there pack house. But according to Xavier its called a hotel. We went all the way up to the top floor and it was breathtaking. The views were to die for and the interior design looked like someone took great care in piecing everything together so it went perfectly. "Damn this place is beautiful! Is your family well off?" Xavier chuckled as he walked to the kitchen and poured 2 glasses of wine. "My parents travel for work so they set me up in this place making up for their absence. They feel that if they provide me with the finer things in life, I will be appreciative and not mind that they're barely parents to me. I've gotten used to their abandonment so I don't really care anymore." he said while looking at his glass before meeting my gaze. "Anyway enough about me. Take a seat and make yourself comfortable." I walked to the couch after ad
As soon as we got there we watched from the car as people littered the front lawn and deck. Z squealed in excitement before reaching for something at the back and coming back with a big bottle of Vodka and a six pack of red bull. “Let’s get litty!” she said in excitement before exiting the car. I laughed and followed after her as she ran inside. “Z calm your farm and relax,” I called out in amusement as we approached the house and squeezed pass the flood of sweaty bodies. Zara scrunched her nose in disgust, “I swear humans don’t wash themselves properly. Their odour is out of this world.” I chuckled and followed her to the kitchen before she started raiding the cupboard as if she owned the place. Not long after she managed to locate some plastic cups and began making our drinks. I bobbed my head to the music starting to feel more in the mood to party than I did when we first arrived. I scanned the area noticing so
"So whats wrong?"I looked up at my mother while twirling my spoon around in boredom."What makes you think somethings wrong?"She raised an eyebrow as she placed a hand on her hip."For the last week you have been moping around since coming back from the pack lands you visited with your brother. Don't think I haven't noticed."I sighed and chuckled as I looked at my half empty bowl."Have you ever made a difficult decision that defies everything you have ever known since young? Like...given up on something that was destined to be yours?"I waited silently for her reply, till her tanned hand came in my peripheral and covered my paled one.I looked up when she didn't say anything, she wore a sad expression as she smiled at me."I won't ask you what happened when you were there, but I will say this. If you believe the decision you made was right in your heart. Then it was the right one. Don't stray from your beliefs
Damon's P.O.V Finding my mate was not a topic I spent a lot of time on. To be honest I didn't think I would come in crossroads with her in this life time. Olivia... Just thinking about her brings a fuck load of emotions that I cant begin to comprehend. Seeing her in complete anguish fucking killed me, but I just felt helpless. I felt like I didn't have a right to console her when I was the one causing her pain. Lost in my thoughts I paid no mind to my brother entering my room. "Damon, have you seen Olivia? Jason is starting to lose his cool and no ones seen her. He found her room empty this morning and there is no sign that she occupied the room last night." I shot up from my position on my couch and frowned. "Let's go. I will help find her." I grabbed my jacket that lay on the armrest and went straight for the door. "Is everything okay with you little brother? Your not looking so good this morni
