Chapter Five

After passing through all the security scans Lucy got to the final door and knocked on it.

   Moments later the door was opened to reveal Rose who had a faint smile on her lips.

   looking at Rose's state Lucy almost cried out it was like her heart was being pierced. 

   She couldn't believe that Rose who was always strong and bold could turn this way.

    She made a mental note to make sure the one responsible pays for this.

    " Good morning Lucy, how are doing? " Rose asked smiling faintly. 

  Seeing that Rose still cares so much for her even in this state Lucy almost burst out in tears but she managed to Compose herself as crying won't solve anything.

   ' This isn't the right thing to do now  ' she thought

  " Morning Rose, how are you holding up? " Lucy asked, Concerndly.

  " Am alive, I guess " Rose replied nonchalantly. 

    Hearing Rose's response, Lucy felt a heart-wrenching pain,  not able to control herself anymore she pulled Rose into a tight hug. 

   Rose was startled at first but she realized that Lucy was trying to make her feel better.

   After about only God knows how long they finally separated.

  " let's go in," Rose said leading Lucy in.

  " Coffee or tea? " she asked Lucy.

  " Coffee, but I will make them myself I am not a visitor after all,  What will you have? " Lucy asked

  " Same, With You. " Rose replied

  " Alright I'll be right back " Lucy replied.

   On getting to the kitchen Lucy was amazed at the neatness of the kitchen even though this was not her first time here she felt like the kitchen has not been used for about a week or so.

   Then it occurred to her that Rose might have not been cooking or eating something healthy since the Breakup.

   She then decided to make bacon and eggs for Rose only as she had eaten already, 

   About fifteen to twenty minutes later.

  Lucy served the food on the dining table and perked to look at Rose she then found the latter staring into space.

   She felt bad seeing Rose like this it breaks her heart.

    Lucy went and hugged her from behind.

  " It's gonna be alright " she comforted 

   Rose looked up at Lucy and nodded.

  When they got to the dining table.  

Rose was surprised to see that Lucy made her favorite food. 

   She muttered a thank you before eating the food slowly.

    Lucy who was sipping coffee beside Rose suddenly thought of something

  " Why don't we go out today? " she said. 

  Rose wanted to reject her but seeing Lucy's eyes lighten up she couldn't so she just nodded at Lucy Who was Smiling Expectantly.

Forty minutes later they arrived at their destination which was the university zoo. 

   Lucy's driver and bodyguard opened the door for them and bowed respectfully.

   " Raman, you can wait in the car  " Lucy told him

   " Alright,  Ma'am " he replied.

   Rose studied her surroundings she then realized that Lucy brought them to the zoo she smiled faintly as she thought 

  '  No one can understand me better than Lucy, I guess '

   Lucy who was staring at Rose caught sight of the faint smile on the latter's face before it disappeared, she smiled remembering those days when Rose was sad about a thing or two and they would both go to the zoo to cheer her up.

   Today while she was thinking of ways to cheer Rose up,  she suddenly remembered their   ' Age-old tradition  '  she didn't think it would work though but seeing Rose smiling she realized that it worked after all.

   sighing she tapped Rose on the shoulder and whispered to her

  " let's go in '' 

 Rose nodded and they went in.

  After getting their pass they went to the animal's section.

   While they were in the Aviary section where you feed the birds that drink nectar.

   They saw a girl who had a fake flower on her hair,  suddenly a bird flew into her hair and pulled out the stamen, and it got mad when it was fake and threw it on the ground angrily.

   The people around busted out laughing,  Lucy who was finding it hard to hold her laughter stared at Rose and was shocked to find the latter giggling.

    '   the plan worked better than I expected  ' she thought

   After they finished their tour in the aviary section they headed to the tigers.

     And there they witnessed a funnier drama.

   Someone dropped a child's shoe in the exhibit and the baby tigers were having so much fun with it. 

   They would throw it and drop it and run around. 

   The zookeepers tried to get them to put it down and come inside so they could take it, but to no avail, as the tigers were having too much fun to listen. 

   This time Lucy and Rose busted out laughing while holding their stomachs.

   After which Lucy took some pictures and videos and sent them to Adam. 

   Speaking of  Adam she already missed him like mad Even though she saw him about seven hours ago she's feeling like a lovesick puppy she wanted to call him but decided against it 

  '  Rose just  had a break-up and I can't go ahead flaunting my perfect relationship in front of her, that will be cruel right? '  she thought 

      They stayed in the zoo whilst touring for about two hours or more before they decided that it was time to have lunch.

   They went to a nearby restaurant to have some snacks.

   By then Rose who had forgotten her sadness was grinning like a child.

   Lucy was pleased to see her friend like this 

  " So Rose, when are you going back to your modeling duty?  " Lucy asked

  " Monday I guess,  you see I was thinking of starting fashion designing and opening a boutique " she replied.

    " Wow!!!  that's awesome but we can partner together you know, right? " Lucy suggested.

  " Of course,  I was thinking of the same too " Rose Replied.

" So it's sealed then, I will start the preparations as soon as possible, " Lucy said 

    While they were still discussing Rose's phone rang glancing at the caller's ID she frowned seeing it was her manager. 

  " Hey, Stella " she greeted after answering.

  " Hello Rose, how are you doing?  " Stella asked in a concerned tone.

  "  Am Alright,  why did you call? " Rose asked

"I got a job for you " Stella announced.

   " No, no! why now?  " Rose pouted

   " Stop being so lazy, Rose, this will also boost your fame " Stella convinced. 

   "  I know but I am busy now, Alright? " Rose replied.

  " I know and that's why I called you earlier,  the shoot will be done on Wednesday so be ready "  Stella Informed her and immediately hanged up before Rose could respond. 

     Lucy who heard their whole conversation decided to tease Rose a little.

   "  Rosie babe,  why are you angry?  after all, you still have a week left to prepare  you should be thankful that Ellie told you earlier or else... " 

   " Earlier my foot!  why didn't she tell me a week ago,  why now?  " Rose snapped. 

    " You can't blame her Rose it's not her fault for the short notice '' Lucy convinced.

  " Whatever! " Rose replied not interested in  Continuing the conversation. 

   After they finished their meal they paid their Bills and left the restaurant.
