Chapter Thirteen

David couldn't fathom why he was still madly in love with Valerie. She treated him like trash and didn't fail to humiliate at any chance she got. His heart squeezed and bled as it beat. She was back with Damien. He wasn't a good man, David had seen him with a lot of women in the past and was certain he hadn't changed but Valerie still chose him.

First it was Jason, then Lucio and now Damien. When is it ever going to be his time? He blamed himself, maybe he should have been into as a socialite or be like Jason then maybe Valerie would look at him. Right there, he hated himself and didn't want to go home. The only thing he wanted to do was forget about what happened at her house. He couldn't go back home and be alone in his apartment; neither could he call Lucio.

He would tell him to forget about Valerie and even option to set him up on a date with other women. Lucio doesn't want to hear him talking about Valerie, in his eyes, she was still Jason's girlfriend. A man he knows nothing abo
