She Was His First Love

"Mom, today is a happy day. Don't let others who aren't related to you feel awful. I'll accompany you for a few rounds."

Tammy instructed the maids at home to set up the table, and she sit by the table with her mother in her arms. She was the eldest daughter, the one who had always been the best at coaxing Eva Anderson.

Eva, Tammy, Susana, Jace, and her wife just happened to be sitting together at the table. Angie was placed elegantly at the side, gracefully sitting on the leather sofa in the living room.

"Avery, when do you and Blake plan to have children?" Eva touched her badge and said without any warning.

"Huh?" Avery’s thoughts could not keep up with the rhythm of the scenario.

"You’ve been married for three years, yet there's no progress. Isn't she working in the hospital? Since she's free, she's going to check if there's anything wrong with her body."

"Oh,” Avery replied perfunctorily, she touched his card and without looking at it, she threw it out.

"Yes, Thirteen. Kill them all." Tammy laughed as she pushed the cards in front of her away.

Eva looked at Avery, "You really know how to play cards.”

Avery lowered her head, the light in her eyes lowered, and her small white face turned pale.

On the side, Tammy did not know how to deal with this situation.

"Mom, we're still young, so there's no rush with children." Blake timely walked over and intimately wrapped his arms around his mother's neck.

Eva showed a rare smile on her face, and patted his arm, "Are you still young despite running for three years? When your dad was your age, Tammy was in primary school. Blake, stop being so sloppy. If you don't get us a grandchild next year, don't blame me for giving you two some punishment."

"Got it, Mom,” Blake casually replied.

After accompanying her mother-in-law through eight rounds, Eva felt that it was even more tiring than doing surgery for an entire day.

In front of the bathroom's makeup mirror, Avery was leaning on the sink with both hands. Her face was haggard, and the corners of her mouth had a fake smile that she didn't manage to hide in time. Walking into Andersons' main hall, she wore this mask.

Just then, the door was pushed open. Angie walked in with her high heels and opened up her makeup bag by her side.

Her lips curled up in an arrogant smile as she turned to look at Avery, extending her beautiful long hands, "You must be Avery. I have heard Blake mention you often, so I want to get to know you formally. I am Angie Lopez."

"Hello." Avery nodded calmly, turned, and left. She really didn't want to be in the same space as this woman.

She pushed open the door and left, and Angie followed her out quickly, "Avery, I want to talk to you."

Avery subconsciously stopped and turned her head, "Miss Lopez, we don't seem to be familiar with each other. I don't think we have anything in common. "

Angie smiled charmingly, and walked in front of her step by step, "Let’s talk about Blake, how about it?"

Avery slightly raised her chin, and a trace of ridicule could be seen on her lips, "I'm sorry, I'm not used to talking about my husband with strangers. If only …"

"Blake!" Without waiting for Avery to finish speaking, Angie suddenly raised her voice, her bright eyes suddenly looking behind her, at the same time looking past her towards the man behind her.

“Blake, we were talking about you just now." Angie held Blake’s arm intimately and naturally.

"And?” he replied indifferently, his deep gaze landing on Avery’s body, with a few traces of probing.

Avery lowered her head slightly and coldly stared at their folded arms. Her heart felt a slight stabbing pain.

Without leaving a trace, he pulled Angie’s hand and looked at her, "Let’s get back to the living room ."

It was obvious that he wanted to push her away.

Avery’s gaze shifted upwards and tightly stared into his eyes. However, she could never understand the profoundness of his eyes, and the warmth in his eyes had never been displayed for her sake.

She felt that she was very useless because she had run away. She did not want to see them showing off their love in front of her ever again. How laughable that she even wanted to deceive herself to maintain this marriage.

The instant she brushed past his shoulders, Blake seemed to see the tears in her eyes. The sound of her high heels hitting the ground became faster and faster, and she disappeared around the corner of the stairs as if she was escaping.

"Blake." Angie smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.

Blake’s eyes turned slightly cold, and pushed her away without leaving a trace, "What are you doing here?"

"What is it? Are you afraid that your wife will be misunderstood? " Angie laughed playfully, taking the opportunity to lean on his chest, "Who asked you to not pick up the phone, so here I am. I come to find you."

Blake frowned, and gently pushed her away, lowering his head to look at her eyes, "Angie, this is not a place to cause trouble, I have already called Aunt Audrey, the car is waiting outside, you can go back first."

Angie pouted, and unwillingly nodded her head, "Alright, I will go, I won't make things difficult for you, but, you have to give me a reward okay?" The moment she finished speaking, she quickly tiptoed and kissed Blake on the lips, then ran away with a smile.

Blake wiped the corner of his lips with his fingertips helplessly.

She had not changed, and when she made a fuss she was like a child. In a trance, the scene before his eyes overlapped with his memories. Once upon a time, she just loved to jump into his arms and give him a helpless kiss like this.

Angie Lopez was his first love and the school's beauty. More than half the boys in the school had fallen in love with her. At that time, he chased after her crazily. He even carried his guitar and sang all-night-long love songs under her dormitory building.

After four years of university, their love was so passionate. He had never thought that she would one day separate from her. However, on the eve of graduation, she resolutely proposed to break up and travel overseas with another man.
