Chapter Twenty One.Tia imagined her wedding day a lot of times. She thought that she would wear a white gown and she will be walking down the aisle with the man of her dreams in a larger than life church that housed a million and one guests, but she would be happy and that would be the best thing that happened to her, it would be the happiest day of her life. Many things about her current wedding were wrong. The first thing was the fact that she was not wearing a gown, but an over sized shirt and a pair of jeans, the second thing was the man, she was not getting married to the man of her dreams, or the man of her nightmares these days, but she was getting married to a man that she barely knew, but at the very least, she was getting married willingly. The third thing that was wrong was the fact that she was about to throw up. She was pregnant, she would have never pregnant in the wedding that she had in her head, but there she was, standing in front of a man that did not look fit to b
Tia felt herself drift into consciousness. She could feel her head banging with a headache, her entire body felt so sore. She struggled to open her eyes but they felt so heavy and she was so tired. It was one of those mornings that she felt she could sleep for ages. Even then, something felt like it was not right, the light was not coming from the right direction, the smell of the room was not hers. She was awake then, and she could feel a hand across her stomach, the fact that she could feel the skin to skin contact told her that her stomach was naked.Tia refused to open her eyes, she did not want to, she was afraid of what she would see. She was not alone in bed and she was not even in her bed. Several thoughts passed her mind, but she could barely think well, her head was still banging. She tried to remember what happened the night before, but all she could come up with was deciding not to cry over William any longer, she vaguely remembered getting dressed to go to the club. Tia g
Lloyd thought back to the confusing lady as he drove back to his house, Tia she said her name was. She looked a bit familiar but he could not put his hand on it. She was much different the previous night though, if he knew that she would be so cold the next morning, he would not have bothered. She wasn't drunk when they met, he was drawn too her because she was easily the first person that attracted him, she was new, it was not so obvious but it was there. She wore a little black dress and her eyes held sadness. Lloyd figured she was probably nursing a broken heart. He knew that because it was that easy to notice. He came to her and he started to talk to her. Tia was downing her drinks in such succession that he thought she was going to faint. She was drunk when she placed her lips on his, he was a little drunk too. Lloyd came to the club to unwind, the entire week, the entire year even had been hell to him, the stress was starting to get to him, he needed to just drink and forget for
Tia knew that her parents would not agree to her decision. Her father most especially really wanted her to get married to William. Tia knew that it was all for the good of the family, for the business. In as much as she loved her father, she had to admit that he was a very sexist man. He liked to call himself traditional. She was his only child and he would never leave his company to her, and that was why he wanted her to marry William. William would take good care of the company, but not of her. Maybe William would do wonders to the company, but not to her.Tia schooled herself for the lecture she would receive once she got home as the taxi parked in front of her father's mansion. At twenty-two, it was a bit unusual that she still lived with her father, that she did not have a job of her own, that she still utterly depended on him. It was something that her friend, Hera, always reminded her was odd, but Tia had been brought up in that manner, she had been groomed in such a way that h
"Hello Hera, how are you doing?" Tia asked her friend as she picked up the call."Oh well, you would not know if I jumped off a cliff and died would you?" Hera said sparkly and Tia groaned. She knew that her friend was upset since they had not talked in while. "I am sorry Hera. It has really been a while. I am sorry that we have not talked, please forgive me my love," Tia said to her friend, she had a smile on her face. Hera was a friend that was so easy to talk to, even if the day had been long and stressful, Hera made it very easy."Well you are forgiven, but that is only because I love you, and you are very lucky that I do," Hera said and Tia laughed. Her words are like a hug, it felt like she was right beside her."Of course babe," Tia said."So, what is the problem?" Hera asked Tia and she let out a long sigh, it really had been a long long day."I don't even know where to start," Tia said with a groan."Well there is no better place to start than the very beginning," Hera said.
Chapter FiveTia sat on her bed that after she left Hera's place and she knew that she had to do something. Her father was still unrelenting about his decision to have her get married to William, he had portrayed as much that day when she came back from Hera's place. It might even be that the only choice that she had was to tell William about Lloyd. Tia closed her eyes as she imagined what would happen if William heard what she had to say.Tia sighed as she realized how alone she was in, in a house full of siblings. Her brothers were there but they really did not care about her that much, they were just interested in the company.Tia's phone rang yet again and it was William on the phone. The imagine of him on top of the brunette was still hitting her, she was not ready to have a reasonable conversation with him, even if she might not have any other choice than to marry him, he had still cheated on her over and over again and he hurt her in many ways. It was best that they went their
Chapter Six.Tia was resigned, there was not much that she could do, after all, she was powerless, it was all her fault, she could have taken her power when she still had the chance to, but now she was stuck with her father who she was beginning to hate. He clearly loved his company more than he loved her, it was very disheartening discover that the man that birthed her did not love her.Tia sat on her bed and cried throughout the night. Telling William that she cheated did not work at all, instead after that day, her father begged William's father and the engagement was more sealed than ever. She was already getting ready for her engagement party. William somehow got a picture of her leaving the hotel, he was using the picture to threaten her and making her feel terrible for cheating on him, he did not even consider the fact that he cheated first.Tia did not call Hera, she was disappointed in herself and she felt she should just face the consequences, no need to involve her friend.
Chapter SevenFour weeks had passed since when she caught Will cheating on her and when she had sex with Lloyd. Tia was currently getting ready for her engagement party. Her wedding date was set, it was in six months as society weddings took a lot of time to prepare for. Tia was even more downcast than she was before. She had given up entirely on trying to break off her relationship with William. She had basically been sold to a beast. Tia had called Hera after then and they had talked, Hera tried to tell Tia that she should be more assertive and fight for her rights, but Tia was not hearing any of that. She had lost hope entirely. She did not feel that anything could happen again, she was going to get married to William, nothing that she would do would change that."Tia, do you want gloss or no gloss?" The make up artiste that was getting her ready for the engagement party asked her, and Tia looked at the lady."Gloss please," she replied."Oh no, no. No gloss would be better for yo
