Wound watched for a while after he stepped out of the portal. He determined that whatever Jinx was going through, it was entirely in his head. Jinx was just going to stand there stock still in front of the nice house that must have been where he grew up until he was done with whatever it was. Wound’s attention turned to Lexi.

"Ah. Ah. Ah." He stuck his arm out to stop the Green-furred tom from interrupting Jinx's important work.

"You need to sit down. Can't you feel the auric pull? Whatever is going on with your Orangelo, it's taking a lot of power. You are gonna start feeling it."

"I can feel the pull. But he's also... I don't know... lonely."

Wound was grateful Lexi wasn't gonna plow through him because he easily could have.

"That's not a bad word for it, Olexian. But we have reached a part of Jinx's journey where he has to face his truths and weaknesses alone." He caught Lexi as the number count
