The day was way too long despite his best efforts of trying to relax or forget about Kellina stuck in that stupid house with that instance High Priestess. I hadn’t been able to talk to Laura as long as I’d wanted or gotten enough information to find out what was going on but then again I felt like Laura was trying to be fairly quiet on all of that. I woke up feeling sore and aching but also feeling like I had slept for days. I wasn’t even sure what day it was but knew I needed to use the restroom so I went to get up but quickly recanted my feet as I saw Laura sleeping on the floor beside me. I had no idea how long it had been but guessing since she slept near me I must have been out of it longer than I had thought. I grabbed my blanket and pulled it off of her wrapping her up the best I could. I wished she hadn’t slept on the floor as that had been very painful on her body but I was also grateful that she was there next to me. I did my best to climb over and made my way into the restroom. It was almost 6:00 pm and with the help of all the High Priestess, I had stayed undetected. The day was busy with decorations and it was almost time for me to get ready for the ceremony. The dinner started at 9:00 pm that would be held outside under the moonlight with candles surrounded by the beautiful flowers we had put out in wreaths and garlands around the entire garden. Then I’d imagine there would be a bit of time before the actual ceremony began which would include a lot of rattling on from the High Priestess and the plan was to allow the Alpha himself to speak if he chose to. Finally, I would be stripped down of my clothes, blessed by the moon goddess and then I would for the first time turn into my wolf. It was different having Reese, Laura, and Clara all in my room, primping and adjusting everything on me. I was so used to being alone and throwing on whatever was comfortable but today was not that day. This was the day I met my wolf. I could feel her more and more and began to wonder if she was ever going to talk to me or if it would be just a feeling. I peeked out in the garden and then did another double take. There stood a woman with beautiful fire red curly hair wearing a red dress to boot that fell just below her knees. It took me a moment to recognize but then it hit me where’d I seen her before? “Laura, is that the red priestess of our pack?” “Genius,” Caroline stated. “Yes, Kellina it is. You need to go introduce yourself. “ She grabbed my hand and then Reese’s. “Okay, this is all up to you two. We go no further. Dinner began and we were all given the option of salad and soup to start before the main course. I chose the soup and requested more wine which I drank quickly causing Sophia to whisper in my ear as she poured me another glass, “A little slower my sweet girl.” I nodded at her then felt the glare of the High Priestess and Sophia quickly whisked herself away back to standing surrounding our table. There were all my lovely fellow priestesses standing around me as if they were statues while we all ate. I hated it and tried to imagine what it would be like if they could sit here with us too. They deserved it far more than I and especially the High Priestess did. These women had protected me more than I knew and were just as trapped. With dinner complete, we made our way with the High Priestess’s instructions past the dining area and further back into the garden was a wide-open space full of flowers and candles to light us all but the candles weren’t complete needed as the moon shined down more clearly in this area than any other part of the property.
