LOGINSienna POV
“What’s wrong with you? I just went to sleep, and now you’re waking me up at this hour?! Can’t I do whatever you want me to do later—like around noon? Even my breakfast can wait,” I grumbled. My body wasn’t used to waking up this early. “I’m sorry. Sir ordered me to call you now.” I rolled my eyes. “Then tell him to wait. I’ll get up later!” I lay back down. No one could stop me if I wanted to sleep — not even Red, my boss for now, and even if he paid me a fortune. I’m still human. I get sleepy too, especially at this hour! I closed my eyes again, waiting to drift back to sleep, but the same loud noise blasted across the room — even louder than before. Ugh, that butler of Red’s is so annoying. “I told you already, later—” I stopped mid-sentence when I saw that it wasn’t Nicolas holding the megaphone anymore. It was Red himself, looking as irritated as ever. “Just a reminder, Sienna. I’m the one in charge of everything here — including the time you wake up. You’re not allowed to complain, because I’m your boss for the next few months,” he said seriously. I smirked, pushing aside my messy hair that hadn’t even met a comb yet. I stepped closer until I was right in front of him, close enough for him to breathe in my morning breath. If he was going to ruin my sleep, then it was only fair I ruined his morning too. “Good morning, SIR...!” I said cheerfully — but with all my breath aimed right at his face. I even saw his eyes squint. I smiled proudly before turning to get my comb from the vanity table. “Did you brush your teeth or use a mouthwash last night?” he asked, looking disgusted. I grinned wider, glancing at my reflection. “Nope,” I answered. “Nicolas!!” “S-Sir?” “Put all the toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash — everything that can clean her mouth — in her bathroom. It’s so stinky!!” I just stood there, watching Red lose his temper. I didn’t even feel offended; he was right anyway. Honestly, I don’t believe anyone’s breath smells good in the morning, no matter how much toothpaste or mouthwash they used before bed. Nicolas winced at his boss’s loud voice. “Yes, sir,” he finally said. “Better get ready, Sienna. Your coach is already here, and in five minutes, I want you out of this room and in the living room. Understand!!” I covered my ears. “Yes, yes, you can leave now. I’ll get ready,” I answered seriously — before he transformed into something worse. “Five minutes, Sienna,” he repeated firmly. I smiled. “You know what, Red? My name actually sounds so classy when you say it. Almost sounds expensive.” His fist clenched, and he stormed out of the room. I guess his patience tank was officially empty. I just shrugged and went to my cabinet to grab some clothes. “Ms. Sienna.” I clutched my chest in shock. “You scared me! Why are you still here?” “I just noticed… you look different without makeup.” I stared at the cabinet door. “Different how?” “You just look softer without it. But with makeup, you look fierce. Although the way you talk… doesn’t match your face.” I looked at my reflection. My eyes still looked sleepy — maybe that’s why he said that. “Well, Nicolas, sometimes you need to keep a little mystery,” I said. “That way, no one can easily put you down — especially people like your boss.” Nicolas scratched his head. “You two are alike — both stubborn. No wonder you’re always clashing. It’s like destiny put you together just to argue. Anyway, you’ve got two minutes left, ma’am. Good luck.” My eyes widened. I quickly opened the cabinet — and froze. The clothes hanging inside were… not what I expected. I didn’t notice them last night; I must’ve been too tired. They were all stylish — even the casual shirts and shorts looked expensive. I grabbed whatever I could, including underwear. I didn’t have much choice; these people were clearly more prepared than I was. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and even used the mouthwash this time. I let my hair down since I couldn’t find a tie. Once I looked decent enough in the mirror, I stepped out of the bathroom and into the hall. Then I stopped. Wait—where’s the living room again? I decided to just follow what I remembered from last night when Nicolas showed me around. If I thought about it too hard, I’d only end up later than I already was. After walking for a while, I finally spotted some people in the living room. I jogged over and stopped beside Nicolas. A woman looked at me — probably the coach Red mentioned, since she was the only unfamiliar face there. “I think the training will last for three months,” she said. “The way she walks, dresses, her posture and style — all lacking refinement. Not to mention the way she speaks and carries herself. This is when we’ll start the first session.” She gave me a head-to-toe look, and when her gaze lingered on my face, I smiled sweetly at her. She just shook her head. Okay, maybe even my smile needed training too. “Do everything you can to make her look like she comes from an elite family,” Red said. “If it takes three months, fine — but it should not exceed three months, Belle.” “I’ll do my best, Red.” I leaned closer to Nicolas. “Psst… can you take me to the kitchen? I need to eat before my brain bleeds from all this.” “Only if Sir says so,” he whispered back. I frowned. Even eating required Red’s approval? My stomach growled — loudly. I was sure everyone heard that. At least Red would know I was starving. “Nicolas, take her to the kitchen,” Red finally said. “Feed her a lot so she can at least learn one percent of something today.” “Right, Nicolas. Let’s go,” I said, grabbing his arm and pulling him along. “Oh dear, that’s not proper behavior for a lady,” Belle commented. I looked down at my hand still on Nicolas’s arm and quickly let go. Okay, maybe I got a bit too comfortable with the butler. But still — Belle seemed like she had way too many rules for one person. Red’s voice cut through the air again, calm but firm. “Go ahead, Nicolas. Take her to the kitchen.” I crossed my arms and muttered under my breath, “Why do I feel like you’re planning something again, Red?”Sienna POV Belle crossed her arms and raised a brow.“Your boss wants this. So you have no choice. Now start again. Five steps—if you manage five steps, we stop for today. I’m going home after that.”A wide smile spread across my face. Surely, I could handle five steps. Besides, I still needed to find a hiding place for the broken plate.I exhaled sharply, closed my eyes for a moment, then opened them again.Slowly, I began to walk. I didn’t lift my feet properly—more like sliding them across the floor—just to achieve Belle’s precious five steps.---I was one step away from success when my foot landed wrong. My right ankle twisted sharply. I squeezed my eyes shut, unable to balance; my entire body was definitely going to crash onto the floor.I waited for the impact—but nothing hit me.I opened my eyes and turned, frowning at the man currently holding me in his arms.“Red?”He immediately pulled away and gave me a slight push, but because my ankle had twisted, I couldn’t stand prop
Red POV “N-No, Sir. I was going to give you this month’s report once you arrived. It’s in my office, I’ll get it right away.” Freya rushed out and returned quickly. She handed me the report. I couldn’t review it yet because the equipment I used to read documents was at home.“Go back to your work.”Once Freya left, I sat down with both documents in my hands.“A lot of things seem to be going wrong in your company, Sir Red,” Nicolas said.“They’re taking advantage of my weakness. But they don’t know I’m smarter than all of them—even if I can’t see.”“Who do you think sent you the wrongs reports?”“The real question is: which one is real? If someone were to send me a report, it should be the correct one—but it wasn’t. That means money really is being stolen from the company, and the bigger question is: who sent this to me?”“Could it be one of your employees? Someone who knows something suspicious is happening?”“Possibly. Or maybe not.”“It’s difficult to tell who it is. But if the do
Red POV Nicolas guided me toward a chair. What exactly was Richard saying about the company?“Sorry, Red, but your company is on the brink of collapse. Many investors have chosen to pull out because of your condition.”I smirked. “My condition? What does my condition have to do with whether they invest or not? You’re all here to help me. What exactly have you been doing—and why is my condition the main topic of this meeting?!”“They want someone else to run your company, Red. The other directors have already agreed it’s time for you to step down as CEO.”A smirk that turned into a quiet laugh escaped me. I built this company from the ground up, and now just because I can’t see, they think I should be replaced? No matter how useful they think they are, I’m still the one who decides what happens to this company.“Where’s Adam?” I asked.“He’s not here. We don’t know where he is.”I rubbed my temple. The COO of the company was missing at the exact moment I needed him.“No one is replac
Red POV When I reached the living room. “I’ve done it.” “Good.” I shook my head. If I didn’t need Sienna’s help, I would never have apologized. I know I’ll never find another woman like her—she’s the only one who fits the kind of personality I want in a woman. Out of all the girls Nicolas tried to introduce to me, only Sienna wasn’t swayed by my looks or money. “Even if you wave all your wealth in front of her, Sir Red, she’ll never let anyone win over her. She mentioned that herself, so even if it’s difficult, you’re the one who needs to humble yourself.” “This is the last time. I don’t want to be the one to approach her again just to apologize.” “Even if you were the one at fault?” I turned seriously toward the right, where Nicolas’s voice came from. Sienna is only pretending to be my girlfriend, and I don’t want her getting too close to me. We’ll only act in front of people—after that, we go our separate ways. That’s all. “Even if I was the one at fault.” I’m sure Nicol
Sienna POV I shook my head. “When I get angry, it lasts the whole day. As long as I see the person who made me angry, it won’t go away, and I might end up saying something I’ll regret. I’d rather not eat.” I turned to Nicolas. “I’ll go to my room first. Belle’s still eating anyway. I’ll just come back later when she’s done.” I couldn’t read Nicolas’s expression, but he gave me a small smile before I walked away. --- Once I reached my room, I grabbed a pillow and punched it repeatedly until I got tired. I dropped to the floor, panting. I didn’t want to lie on the clean bedsheets because I was drenched in sweat and didn’t want it to stick to the pillow and blanket. I sighed and stared at nothing. At the bar, my boss had been so kind, but here—he might be rich, yet his attitude was terrible. I tilted my head for a moment before breaking into a wide smile, remembering the biscuit in the pocket of the shorts I wore last night. I searched for the shorts in the laundry basket beside
Sienna POV My mouth fell open at what Red said. It was as if he was telling me that what I was doing was easy, even though it clearly wasn’t. “What did you just say?” I asked seriously. I walked up to him and stopped right in front of him. “Say that again.” He tilted his head slightly. Red always seemed to know exactly where a person was even without seeing them. “I said,” he repeated, “what Belle’s making you do is easy. Why can’t you do it right away?” I bit my lip hard. This man was really getting on my nerves, and I needed to calm myself down before I lost it. “If it’s that easy, then go on—do it yourself. Let’s switch places. I’ll sit there, and you wear these stilettos and walk in a straight line. Then we’ll see if you can still say it’s ‘easy,’” I said firmly. Red raised both eyebrows. “Why would I do that? I hired Belle to teach you, not me.” “Oh, you—” I shut my eyes, trying to hold myself back. Belle and Nicolas were just watching us. Nicolas looked especially worr
