Hannah’s POV

By the time Serena and I returned to the dorm after the ice cream stop, my mood had changed completely.

Not perfectly.

Not magically.

But enough.

Enough that the heaviness sitting in my chest earlier didn’t feel unbearable anymore.

The second we entered the dorm room, Tiffany looked up suspiciously from her bed.

“Oh?” she said dramatically. “She returns smiling.”

Maya glanced over her laptop immediately and smiled softly.

“That’s good.”

Serena proudly pointed at herself. “I fixed h

Hannah’s POVBy the time Serena and I returned to the dorm after the ice cream stop, my mood had changed completely. Not perfectly. Not magically. But enough.Enough that the heaviness sitting in my chest earlier didn’t feel unbearable anymore. The second we entered the dorm room, Tiffany looked up suspiciously from her bed.“Oh?” she said dramatically. “She returns smiling.”Maya glanced over her laptop immediately and smiled softly.“That’s good.”Serena proudly pointed at herself. “I fixed her emotionally.”“You make it sound like I was broken,” I muttered quietly.“You were sad. Same difference.”That made Tiffany laugh loudly.Nobody asked too many questions after that. And honestly…I appreciated it.Sometimes being cared for quietly felt even better than being questioned.A few hours later, Serena finally left after forcing us to promise another movie night soon. The room became calmer afterward.Tiffany was watching random videos loudly on her phone while Maya typed away at an

Hannah’s POVThe second Serena waved, my entire body tensed.“Oh no,” I whispered under my breath.Serena blinked at me in confusion. “What?”Before I could answer, she looked past me again and smiled wider.“Wait… Adrian’s coming over here,” she said casually. “And two other guys.”My stomach dropped instantly. Two other guys.No.No no no.My fingers tightened around the edge of the table as panic slowly crept into my chest. What if one of them was Zachary? What if he walked over here and looked at me like I was stupid again? What if—“Hannah?”I barely heard Serena’s voice. My heartbeat had become too loud. Then footsteps stopped beside our table.Slowly, I looked up.Adrian stood there first, looking awkwardly amused.Beside him was Tyler. And another guy I hadn’t seen before properly, though I vaguely remembered seeing him laughing with the others at the football field that day.But Zachary wasn’t there.Relief hit me so suddenly I almost slumped in my chair.“Hey,” Adrian greet

  • The Bully's Redemption    Chapter 7: A Small Step Forward

Hannah’s POVBy the time Serena and I got back to the dorm building, my cheeks already hurt from laughing too much.Which honestly felt strange. Not bad strange.Just… unfamiliar.I wasn’t used to people making conversations feel easy. But Serena somehow talked like we had known each other for years instead of one afternoon.“And then,” she continued dramatically as we walked down the hallway, “the professor looked directly at me and said, ‘Miss Carter, are you listening?’ Meanwhile I was mentally planning my lunch.”I laughed softly. “That’s actually terrible.”“I know. I’m a victim.”I shook my head smiling. When we reached Room 204, I pushed the door open carefully.Maya was sitting cross-legged on her bed typing something on her laptop while Tiffany lay upside down with headphones on.The second Tiffany noticed me, she sat up immediately.“Oh look,” she announced dramatically. “She returned home.”Serena gasped loudly beside me.“Oh my God, I love her already.”Tiffany blinked. “W

  • The Bully's Redemption    Chapter 6: Unexpected Conversations

Hannah’s POVThe movie night ended later than I expected.By the time we finally turned everything off, Tiffany was still loudly complaining about the ending while Maya kept explaining why it “symbolized emotional growth.”“It symbolized confusion,” Tiffany argued dramatically.“It was literally explained.”“It was badly explained.”I laughed quietly from my bed, hugging my pillow against my chest. For the first time since arriving at Hudson State University, I felt… comfortable. Not completely. But enough.Enough to laugh freely.Enough to stop overthinking every little thing for a while.I looked at both of them softly.“Thank you,” I said suddenly.Maya looked up from her laptop. “For what?”“For tonight,” I admitted quietly. “You guys really helped me feel better.”Tiffany immediately pointed at herself proudly. “Of course. Emotional support is part of my personality.”Maya smiled warmly. “You don’t have to go through things alone anymore, Hannah.”Something about those words sett

  • The Bully's Redemption    Chapter 5: After the Impact

Hannah’s POVI kept replaying it in my head the entire walk back to the dorm. The hallway. The sudden impact. My books falling again. And him—Zachary Reed—standing there like I was just another mistake in his way.By the time I stepped into the room, my mood was already heavy.Maya looked up from her laptop immediately. “You’re back.”Tiffany sat cross-legged on her bed, chewing chips loudly. “Okay, talk. What happened this time?”I hesitated at the door for a second before walking in slowly.“I bumped into him again,” I said quietly.Tiffany froze mid-bite. “You mean again again?”I nodded.Maya straightened slightly. “Zachary?”“Yes.”Tiffany let out a long groan and fell backwards onto her bed. “This guy is starting to sound like your personal nightmare.”I dropped my bag beside the bed and sat down slowly.“It wasn’t even dramatic,” I said. “He just… looked at me like I was annoying him again. Like I shouldn’t exist in his space.”Maya’s expression softened instantly.“Hannah…” sh

  • The Bully's Redemption    Chapter 4: Second Collision

Hannah’s POVThat evening, after the incident at the football field, I returned to the dorm room feeling completely drained. My shoulder still hurt slightly, but the embarrassment hurt more.Maya and Tiffany were already inside when I walked in. They immediately noticed my expression.“What happened?” Maya asked, her voice filled with concern.I hesitated for a second before sitting down slowly on my bed.“I… I got hit by a football today,” I said quietly. Both of them froze.“What?” Tiffany exclaimed, sitting up straight. “Who threw it?”I swallowed nervously.“Zachary Reed.”Silence filled the room for a moment. Then Tiffany jumped to her feet dramatically.“That guy?” she shouted. “He hit you and didn’t apologize?”I shook my head.“He told me to watch my surroundings,” I replied softly.Tiffany’s face turned red with anger.“I swear, if I ever see him, I’ll beat him up myself,” she said, clenching her fists.Maya quickly stood up and grabbed her arm.“Calm down,” she said firmly.
