He walked up the stairs, his eyes lacking any emotion with his jaw hardened. The guards that stood at the entrance of the door both looking haggard. One of them reached out for his chest and halted him to a stop. They searched his body and when they saw nothing, they gave him a curt nod that he could proceed.
