“You did what?” Scott asked, eyes wide. Even though it was a Saturday we were having our weekly brunch at the local cafe. I had just told him the events of last night. Grinning from ear to ear.
“I asked her out!” I squealed. I was so excited I didn’t even care who was listening. I had a date with her. A date with Pearl. It felt magical and butterflies leapt around in my stomach just thinking about tonight.
