Chapter 21: Changing

"Introducing, this is Aline. The head maid of this house. If you need anything, just tell her. Aline, this is Grace Smith. She will stay here with me from today onwards. Can you prepare a guest room for her? Then also prepare hot water for her to bathe. I also want dinner ready at 6 o'clock, okay?" Evelyn said before Grace even had time to introduce herself. Aline just smiled a little, typical of her motherhood, and nodded in understanding.

"Okay Miss Evelyn. Miss Smith, I'll call you back when everything's ready. In the meantime, give me your belongings, and rest in the living room. I made tea and cake earlier."

"Aline, let me carry it myself." Grace politely declined.

"No need, Grace. Let them work. They get paid for it." Evelyn said, giving the code to the other maids to immediately take Grace's belongings and take her to the room.

"But - ah." The goods have already been transported. "Thank you, Aline." Aline smiled kindly.
