Chapter 103: Always In Love With Her

Ashton's POV

I thought Megan would run off again when she saw me hugging Claire. I know I was in a very delicate situation again, and my ex put Megan's love for me to a test. I was terrified, but when Megan came closer and kissed me, all the worries I felt were gone.

It was an incredible feeling to have her in my arms, even if she should slap me on my face because I knew how much I hurt her when she found me comforting Claire, and it only made me realize Megan's love for me was not easily wavered. And I kissed her back like there would be tomorrow, and I could feel the beautiful tingling sensation as I inhaled her intoxicating scent.

I never expected Megan would put Claire in her place when she calmly invited her to our wedding. I know Megan is not the kind of person who will rejoice at the expense of others, but I know Claire came to her office one day and threatened her, and today, Megan wanted to give my ex a lesson.

I could see the anger of my ex-fiancee as she watched Megan and me being so intimate with each other, and I became more in love with Megan; and I was so proud of her when she didn't walk away, but instead, she showed me how strong she could be. 

"Thank you, Meg," I said after ordering our food. I brought Megan to the nearest restaurant I could find because we were both starving, and I could see how her face blushed.

"For what? I should be the one thanking you, I almost cried this morning when I got inside my office, and I think you wanted me to open a flower shop." She responded, and I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

I couldn't believe Megan would visit me since she told me she would be busy today, and thinking about how hot she looked when I undressed her inside my office a while ago makes me ache for her all over again.

"Did you like the flowers, Meg?" I asked as I adjusted my necktie, and I couldn't stop remembering the sweet moment I shared with Megan in my office. I remember how her eyes widened when I stripped off my business suit before her, and I meant to leave my necktie on because I wanted to tease her.

And I know teasing Megan will backfire on me because every time I look at her with desires on her face will make my manhood stiff, and she will know right away that I want to have her, and making love with Megan will always make me feel alive and strong. And making her happy and satisfied is always my goal every time we make love.

"They are beautiful, and I didn't only like them, but I love those flowers, Ashton. Thank you for making me happy early morning, and I admit I felt like the world collapsed on my shoulders when I saw you with Claire." She declared, and I watched her beautiful face as she continued to pour out her emotions after seeing me with my ex. And I wanted to stop her, but I couldn't stop myself from wanting to learn from her how much she loved me.

"But I don't want to hate you again without hearing your side of the story, and I know you will not send me flowers that cost a fortune if you are only messing with me. I know how much you love me, Ashton, and making love with you will always be a bonus." She added, and I chuckled.

"I love you, Ashton Pritzgold, and I already told you, I will never let her ruin what we have. And I don't want to hurt Axel, and making indecisive decisions will affect our son. He adores you, and I love our little angel and will never hurt our son. I will beg you to have us for the sake of our child." She declared, and I held her hand over the table.

"I am sorry, Meg; I know even if we are good, I still hurt you. Hurting you is the last thing that I will ever do, and I already pleaded with Claire, but she won't listen to me." I responded.

"You don't need to beg me because you know I will always be in love with you, and I love our family, Meg. And I can't wait to marry you because I know many people will try to break us apart; I hope you will remain this strong and steadfast, Meg." I added.

"I am so afraid of losing you, it terrified me when I realized you saw me with Claire, and I know you don't want to hear why she came to my office, but still, I wanted you to know everything," I said. I informed her of everything my ex-fiancee had told me, and our food arrived as I finished my story.

"I know, Ashton, and I am also aware that Claire will never stop bothering me until she will hurt me in any way she can, and I admit, I felt worried, but I wish one day Claire would stop with what she was doing to us, and she will learn to forgive you," Megan responded.

"She is in love with you, and until now, she ain't over you. And she will continue to mess with us, and I was hoping one of these days she will realize you don't belong to her." Megan added, and I squeezed her hand, and we started eating our food in silence.

"Hey, you should eat your food and stop staring at me like that," Megan said after finding me staring at her while she ate her food; I beamed at her, and she blushed again.

"Why do you feel conscious if I am staring at your face, Meg? I am sure you can't resist my charm." I declared, and she looked me in the eyes with raised eyebrows before she spoke.

"I am not conscious, Ashton, and your charm is nothing. I don't want you to end up hungry and blame it on me later." She answered, but I knew she was lying. I could tell even until now she felt conscious every time I looked at her.

"Liar," I said with a mischievous grin on my face.

"Conceited," Megan answered, and we bantered until I ended up laughing so hard, and I couldn't believe Megan would turn out to be this funny and bold.

"Thank you for lunch, my love, and of course, for the flowers," Megan said after I drove her back to her office using her car; we were in the parking lot, and this time I am sure no reporters were around the vicinity. Only my company driver was trailing behind us because I would be riding with him later.

I made sure my men cleared the area before we got out of the car, and I already knew our engagement was all over the news; my phone had been buzzing with notifications, and I received so many messages from my friends extending their congratulations, and I am so happy now being with Megan. I held her hand as we made our way to the main lobby of her building.

I could see the curious look of the employees as they saw us approaching. And some of them took pictures of us, but I don't mind; I am a celebrity, and I am proud to be with Megan, and I want them to post our pictures together because it is about time the whole world should know I am marrying this gorgeous woman I am holding hands with, and just looking at her makes my heart swelled with happiness.

"I don't want to go back to my office, and I hate that I need to sign important documents." I blurted out after we got inside her office, and I smiled when I looked at the flowers; and I will make sure to thank my secretary later for a job well done. She made my woman happy, and I should give Leslie additional incentive.

"I feel the same way too, Ashton; I wanted to tell you that we should go home to Megalopre and pick up our son at school, but I also have many things to do, and if you do not leave now, I don't think I can finish a single thing with you around." She responded, and I nodded my head.

"Of course, I know, Meg; see you later," I responded, and I kissed her on the lips before I walked away from her hastily without taking a backward glance because if I did, I am sure I would not be able to walk away from her.

I closed her door gently, and her female staff waved their hands at me, giggling; I was smiling from ear to ear as I made my way to the elevator, and I felt glad my driver was already waiting for me in the front of the main building. I got inside the car in a hurry, and he started the car and drove away from Megan's building.

"Zachary! What are you doing here? I told you to come tomorrow and not today." I asked, and my best friend smiled at me as he walked toward my office.

"I don't think I can make it tomorrow. I came to say yes now, and why do I need to sign something before I can become your best man? You know I would be honored to be your best man on your wedding day." He said, and I laughed.

"Where have you been? Lunchtime is over, and you are not here in your office," he added, and I was grinning at him.

"You don't need to tell me, with that kind of smile, I know you were with Megan." He added.

"Yes, I was with my beautiful fiancee, Zach; we had a lunch date," I said, and he chuckled.

"With that kind of smile, I don't think you only had a lunch date," he said meaningfully, and my smile widened.

"Thank you for coming, bro, and now I will put confirmed beside your name. I want to surprise Megan and do this for her. I already have the entourage list, and I wanted you to sign here." I said, and I could see the surprise on his face.

"Really?" He asked, and I nodded my head; and he walked closer to the table, and he signed beside his name while shaking his head.

"Do you know this is the first time I signed something like this, I had been best man and groomsman in so many weddings, but I haven't done something like this," my best friend

complained after he put his signature on the paper.

"I wanted to make our wedding special and unique," I responded.

"You are crazy." He said.

"Yes, I will always be crazy with Megan," I responded, and he chuckled as he sat down on the chair in front of my table.

"Thank you, Zach, me too, I am so happy that after so many years, I will be marrying the girl I fell in love with, and I know I will always be in love with her," I responded with a beautiful smile on my face, and I couldn't wait to be with Megan again soon.
