Chapter 3345

Author: Lord Leaf
Charlie’s words made everyone at the scene, including Helena, feel extremely shocked!

Everyone was wondering what Charlie’s words could actually mean? Could this be the typical empty talk and daydreaming in the art of war?

This was too nonsensical, right?

This feeling was just like one person who was asking another person, “D*mn it. The chairman wants to fire me. What should I do now?”

As a result, the other person had suddenly said, “What are you afraid of? You can just replace him as the c

Very interesting novel but the author can further improve it by avoiding repetitive statements on some data. It's like saying one idea in different languages and it negatively affects the delivery of the plot. Otherwise, everything is perfect.

Charlie absolutely agreed with Vera's opinion—the path of cultivation inherently consumed enormous resources for an individual. It used the most refined Reiki to infinitely enhance personal strength, and from a wider perspective, it was nothing less than squandering. After all, they were talking about concentrating resources for only a few million or even fewer cultivators all while draining dry a planet capable of sustainably supporting billions. It's a celebration of elitism and not wider society or even human civilization. They are therefore speculating that an advanced spacefaring group of cultivators must have arrived before the dawn of human civilization. Instead of inspiring and leading, they devoured Earth's cultivation resources and then left without looking back. Therefore, the portal built in the plaza pagoda of the subterranean city is—bluntly speaking—a funnel through which they plundered all of Earth's resources, sending out worker ant-like cultivators to franticall

Pausing, Vera continued, "When I studied at Harvard over a hundred years ago when the discipline of biology first came to be, scientists across the world began the discussion on the theory of evolution. Many of them were particularly obsessed with fossils of prehistoric creatures, with Harvard being the central location of such forums and discussions."At the time, academics already had complete chains of biological specimens and evidence to prove evolution. From fossils of Cambrian trilobites to Cretaceous dinosaurs along with the first primates—or the microbial remains of more than 3 billion years ago, it's all solid proof that evolution applies."It's been decades. Even if I stayed out of the limelight, the many enterprises and organizations with my investments had excavated fossils, DNA tests and other research to further prove the theory of evolution."Charlie nodded, but was bemused and waited as Vera took a deep breath and kept going. "But to sum it all up… There's an order w

When discussing the chicken-egg paradox, people instinctively focus on the species, when chickens didn't appear out of nowhere. In fact, it passed through a long, arduous process of species iteration. And if that was the case for chickens, it applied all the more to humans, where civilization began in Mesopotamia just over five thousand years ago. However, homo sapiens dates back some 300,000 thousand years ago, and other ape-men possibly going back some two million years. It was a thought that blew Charlie's mind wide open, as he suddenly understood that the ancient cultivators who reigned before the Degenerate Age of Dharma and built the Antarctic subterranean city had nothing to do with modern humans. As Charlie and Vera strolled through the forests of Crane's Cry transitioning into summer, they began a retrospective discussion of what they had learned so far about the cultivators.Charlie was himself sighing, "In the five-thousand-year timeline of human civilization, the aver

Vera, a master of Daoism, quickly noticed the geomantic compass and exclaimed, "So those circles are portals connected to different places across the world?"Charlie nodded and pointed at the circle of light in the middle. "Nine, to be specific. The one at the center heads to Oskia, so we're taking that one back to Aurous Hill before thinking of something.""Do you know where it goes?" Vera asked. "Crane's Cry," Charlie replied.Vera's eyes widened in understanding and nodded. "Crane's Cry? That makes sense. It's the founding place of Daoism, so I'm sure the cultivators from before the Degenerate Age of Dharma attained enlightenment there too."Charlie nodded, frowning. "But there's something I don't get.""Do tell. I'll see if I have an answer for it."Charlie nodded again, and held her hand, leading her to the center circle, "Let's talk while we walk."In a split second, they were at that hidden cave in Crane's Cry.Vera wasn't surprised after teleporting twice now, while C

"Now?" Charlie's words left Vera confused despite her usual sharp wit, and it showed all over her face. "It's the polar winter. Aren't ships unable to cross the Roaring Forties?""Never said anything about a ship," Charlie replied, smiling.Vera was even more shocked. "Then, are we flying? It's hard for normal planes to take off or land at the South Pole."Charlie kept his mysterious smile. "Never said anything about a plane either."Vera was left mystified, but there were only two ways to travel connecting Aurous Hill and the South Pole—flying or sailing. So if Charlie said it was neither, what else could it be? Then, remembering the portal Charlie used to bring her here to the subterranean city, she exclaimed in shock, "Are there portals we can use to leave the South Pole?"Charlie nodded at her in surprise—he always thought highly of her mind, but she also kept raising the bar. "You really are smart. You got it in no time at all!""You're exaggerating," Vera smiled humbly

A hundred years was about the natural lifespan of normal humans, but for cultivators, two hundred years—even millennia, was just the start.During secluded cultivation, the better the conditions such as Reiki concentration in the surroundings, the deeper the cultivator would sink into their trance. However, Charlie was completely different from Marcius—the latter could abandon his sense of self and all worldly matters for cultivation, after all.It was something Charlie simply couldn't do, for he found his family, friends, and confidantes all too precious to him. He couldn't bear the thought of only emerging years or decades of seclusion, and finding everything had changed.Vera naturally understood that—she had long since come to see his loyalty and compassion, and that he was no zealot who would sacrifice everything else for cultivation. Therefore, how could he willingly waste his prime years in endless cultivation? So, she smiled and told Charlie, "If you're that worried about

With that said, she sighed and added, “Well, Mr. Jothurn, there are two paths for us to take now. We can either find out exactly how Vera left Northern Europe or find out how the Armed Calvary Guards we sent disappeared in Northern Europe. I’ll be generous and let you pick one out of the two paths f

Charlie’s words touched Lady Jenson completely, and she shed tears unknowingly. As her body was already suddenly much younger, she suddenly knelt before Charlie and groveled as she said piously, “Thank you, Benefactor. I will never forget your great kindness!”Charlie helped her up and said jokingly,

Cory was startled when he heard Charlie say the words ‘Do it’.One of the thoughts in his mind was ‘Do it? Do what? Special Envoy Master, it cannot be that you’re asking twenty of us to kill more than two hundred of them, right? This is clearly an impossible task!’.The other members of the Armed Calv

“It doesn’t matter.” Vera said with a smile, “I’m already halfway there since I already know his real identity!” After saying that, Vera added, “I’m going to look for him in Oskia first, and if I really can’t find him, I’ll go overseas to look for him then.” The old man hurriedly asked, “Miss, where
