Ch21 - “I'm warning you…”

David visited Mariane’s work to meet the owner of the company. “Mr. Cruz… Good morning. What brings you here?” The old lady greeted him as soon as he entered her office.

“Good morning, Mrs. Brook.” Mrs. Brook smiled and sat on her swivel chair. She offered the chair in front of her desk to David.

“Have a seat, please. Do you want some coffee? Tea? Water? Or Juice?” She asked.

“No. I’m okay. I will not stay for too long as well. I will not hesitate any longer and will direct my aim here to you. You had an employer named Mariane Ramos.” Mrs. Brook mouthed an ‘Oh’ at what she just had heard from him.

She thought she was lucky that the wife of the wealthiest guy in the country works with her, which means she’ll get benefits from him as well. But she was wrong.

“I want you to remove her from your employees. She is my wife and as her husband, on behalf of her... I am applying for her resignation.”

“B-but I heard from her colleagues… Your wife is hardworking and competent. It would be a sham
