I was in the middle of an important meeting when I heard a loud thud. I flinched in my seat while my assistant and the rest in the conference room shifted their prudent stares at me. Clearly, they didn't hear it.
"Nick, take care of the rest of the meeting!" I condescendingly told my assistant who was just sitting beside me, nodding before clearing his throat to respond to my command.
"Yes, President!" I saw him sit straight as his hands fixed the hem of his suit before he brought his fingers to the mouse of the computer looking attentive.
I strode out of the conference room my mind was occupied by my slave who was in my office doing nothing or based on the loud thump, she had probably done something.
