I could feel my heart beating so fast, it felt like they were going to come out of my heart to the hearing of the other Alphas that were there.

How? Why?

Why was she the one? I frowned at it. If there was anything I raised my shoulders so high for, it was picking the most gorgeous and wealthy women.

They have been the ones warming my bed and taking in my pregnancies, but they never survived it. Low women were never a thing for me.

My eyes went to her, she shivered even as her eyes met with me. I wondered if she was feeling the way I was feeling.

I pulled away, but my wolf refused to do so.

" I am not interested" I muttered under my breath, loud enough for my wolf to hear it and understand.

" You have to, I'm sure you do not want to risk losing your mate" Damien, my wolf said.

It was loud today, it must be something,huh.

She must really be something.

My feelings could not deny that her eyes were pretty and they looked like they held a spell, a spell that would not let me walk out of here without taking her.

"150 million dollars" I said.

The room went silent.

They were not able to get up to that amount or even exceed what I had brought up. I was the highest.

She was mine.

I hope I can now please my wolf and give him what he wants.

I saw how weak she was, trying to hide and all that.

" Clean her up," I said.

The auction was over, I had made them dismiss the rest. The price I was going to pay for her was high and she had to be presentable. I insisted that she had to be cleaned up before I could take her out of there.

I thought hard about what I was doing. My mind flashed back to the women that had died while being with me,was I spending all of this money for her to die as well?

She looked weak and so innocent, not knowing anything about what was going on, or she knew, but I was aware that she knew nothing about me or my life.

She looked like the one who would be easily swayed away, confused and taken for granted.

I walked back to the place when I was told that she was ready. It made me feel like it was truly a product, something that I had paid a fortune for.

I turned the door knob and met her at the door. My heart yearned for her but I had to act so tough, so tough not to let her know what I was feeling.

I took her out of there and we went to my place, the very place she was going to stay, live and survive.

" Why... Why me? You could have chosen anyone else" she swallowed, probably wondering why I had chosen her and why I had paid such a huge amount.

" You should not ask me that, the thing is you are here now, act like it" I said dryly, void of any emotion or care.

I never wanted to show it.

" I do not think I am fit for what you want" she said, just when I had already turned my back on her to leave the room.

My legs stopped, they refused to move. Then I forced it and made it turn, my face was now in her presence.

The words that came out of her mouth did not look like the woman I had seen in that auction room.

She sounded like she was the one who has authority over me, despite being at the mercy of different Alphas in that room.

My legs pulled me closer to her. Her eyes shone brightly as they looked at me.

My eyes went to her whole body, she looked good, I wonder why the other Alpha who rejected her never saw any of these to treat her poorly like she was treated.

" This is the place you are to stay, do not argue with me. I paid a fortune for you to be here, so remain here, this is your new home" I said, with so much authority.

Her eyes blinked repeatedly,like she was not okay with what I had just said. I do not know why it seemed that way to her but she was going to accept that she was in now with me,one of the greatest Alpha ever.

" I...I am not what you think I am, you can not get anything from me" she blinked repeatedly.

She was trying so hard to beg me with her soul. My fingers snapped repeatedly.

" You are trying to make me look stupid, and I do not want to repeat myself. Let's get this going and be a good little girl" I held her cheeks in my hands, her eyes were dazzling as I did that.

Even though she had very bright eyes, I could still sense fear in those eyes, I could still detect that she was scared of being here.

I walked away, the moment I got to the door, my eyes caught Cara at the door, her face frowned and the displeasure appeared on her face.

" Another one?" She glared at me and quickly adjusted her expression.

She knew how much I hated to be glared at, especially when it comes from her.

" This is my life, not yours" I said. I did not want her telling me what needs to be done and what I should not do. I hated it.

" But..."

" I do not want to hear it" I raised my hands and stopped her from speaking.

She stopped, unable to say any more words to me. She held her dress and fumbled with the hem.

" I want to be left alone," I said.

I heard her footsteps leaving my room. I turned and faced the wall.
