AESPIA POV

She was standing right in my face.

" You can move back now, your points have been made," I said.

She moved back and went to where she was standing.

I was a bit scared, my palms were getting sweaty. There was something about her presence, whenever she opens her mouth to speak, there is always something that it does to me.

I become confused,scared and want the ground to open and swallow me. There were a lot of things going wrong with me all at once as soon as she opened her mouth to speak with me.

I braced up and pushed that fear away.

" I also want to clarify something that I noticed," I said.

I was prepared for whatever comes after saying what I had to say, there was a need to say it and I was going to do that.

" What else do you want to say to me? Do you know that you are wasting my time and I can not get on with other things,most especially, what you are here for" she said.

" I want to correct the way I am being called, I want to be addressed as Luna as well, when the maid came to me, she did not address me properly, I would want to be properly addressed" I told her, standing there and waiting for her reaction.

She scoffed and then roared into a thousand laughter. What I had said was nothing close to being funny,but she found it funny and it was something that made me feel so bad and terrible about myself.

I frowned.

" You think you are worthy? You are nothing close to being a Luna, this is just a favour we are offering to you, you should take it with both hands and stay quiet. Like I said, you are not going to be here for long" she smiled, in a very exciting way.

My mind would not get her last statement out of my head, she had said it before, it was the third time she was saying something like that.

" What do you mean by that? Why do you keep saying I am not going to last for long?" I had to ask him what he meant.

" What I am trying to say is that, you are going to be miserable and you will leave here in a way that no one can explain, very soon, you will be replaced and your position taken" she said.

I nodded my head,there was no need to go back and forth with her, I stayed quiet and faced her.

" You will have to be patient and learn to keep your mouth shut, you are going to do as I say, whatever I want you to do, do it" she said with so much authority.

There was anger, hatred and all manner of evil things that mixed up with her voice and the way she talked to me.

" Okay" I only said, after I found my voice, because I was scared, shocked and angry at the same time, but it was not a good time to show it.

I went back to my room, it was away from the other room, but I did not think about it so much.

Just when I thought I was going to have a good sleep and just rest my head, doing nothing, my door was opened and the maids came again.

Fear gripped my heart, it felt like it was squeezed, like something was wrong with my heart.

" What is it? What are you girls here for?" I asked them, moving back to the wall until I could no longer move as my back had touched the wall.

" You really think we were going to leave you just like that? Do not be so excited that your stay here will be good" one of them said.

Before I knew what was going on, my hair was pulled and I was dragged into the bathroom.

I dreaded it, they were going to let me into the water and I did not want that, I almost died the last time they did that to me.

" You should not be stubborn" they pushed me towards the tub, turned on the water and dipped my head in it.

I thought of how to get my head up from there but it was not possible to do so. It was just me and there were about five of them with me.

There was no strength to fight with, even though I tried to do that, where is it going to lead me? They are going to do worse things to me and I did not want that for myself.

I let them do what they wanted to do, I could not fight for myself.

I fell to the ground when they had left the bathroom, I poured the water that was in my mouth away.

Why was I being treated like this? They wanted me to leave this place, but I could not leave because Alpha Xyren is not even aware.

He is going to find me and punish me for trying to run away. He is never going to spare me.

I sat on the floor, shivering from the cold, while thinking of what to do to protect myself. I thought about a lot of things but nothing was coming to my head, it was a blank, or maybe something was inside.

Pain.

It was all pain in my head. Living with Enzo had taught me how to beat pain and how to deal with it, I was always in the middle of one misfortune or the other.

The sound of the drums came on, I managed to get up to my feet to see what was happening.

When I got to the window and strained my eyes to see what was happening, I saw that the Alpha King was back, he was back to the house.

A rush of excitement flowed through me . Maybe this was going to give Cara a little break and a lesson as well.
