Chapter 2

Rain was not able to understand what Bella was trying to say. '' Danger? What kind of danger are you talking about Bella?'' Rain asked holding onto the hand of her friend. '' The number of witches is growing in number lately. Along with them the number of hunters also,'' Bella said. 

'' Hunters? What about them?''. 

'' I had gone to buy some groceries. It was then the women from our pack were discussing them. I overheard their conversations. They were saying that the human hunters are hunting us werewolves for money. They are killing us and selling our fur and bones along with our meat. There's a rumor that our meat can cure any kind of disease. And believing that they are hunting us down. It's all happening in the town beside us. They are hunting us and some of our kind are helping them to identify us. I can't believe they are doing this for money also,'' Bella said with a disgusted face that was not visible to Rain. 

'' You mean they will hunt us? Hunt us and kill them if we go out of the village?'' Rain asked in response to that. '' Yes.'' Rain's throat went dry over that. If they try to leave this village the hunters will hunt us. If they stay here she will be bullied and beaten up every day. When she thought about leaving this happened. She has to give up the wish of leaving this place with Bella. 

'' As long as we stay in the village we will be alright. So don't worry, I will protect you Rain,'' Bella says to assure her. But this was not going to assure Rain like this. '' You know we don't have enough money to survive also. Until we go out of the village we will have to die out of starvation. There's no work here for us in the village. They only treat us like their servants. With that low wage, how will we survive?'' Rain asked. 

Bella went silent over it. Yes, what she said is not wrong but that's the way things work in the pack. They get paid for working under the Alpha and other Beta's. But that's low because they are the servant class Omega. 

'' We will make something out don't worry,'' Bella says rubbing Rain's shoulders to assure her. ''Now don't think about it, I will take care. You will be staying here. I am not going to let you go to the town anytime to get killed. So for the time being read something,'' Bella says getting up from her seat. 

She left not being able to answer Rain's questions. That was the hard reality before them now. They have less money to survive this month. Bella is the only one who can work among them. Rain can hardly see so she stays at home but they get paid for their share too. 

Not being able to think of something Rain takes out the book from the bookshelf next to hers. It may seem funny that how can she read a book even though she can't see. But the truth is she could see from little but she lost it. These books in the house they are given to her by her mom and dad when she was little. 

After they had died she brought them back from the house. It was then Bella and she started to live with her as Bella was her childhood friend. Rain remembers everything written on these pages as these were the only things to soothe her after her parents had died. 

She knows what's written in which book. Just tracing through these pages is enough to make her recall everything written on it. Like that the afternoon had passed by. They were done eating and Bella is getting ready to go to work in the big mansion. 

When she was about to leave Rain calls her from behind. '' Are you going to work? When will you be back?''. '' Yes, I am going you should take a nap or something. I will be back by night, I need to settle the wages. You don't have to worry,'' Rain said looking back at her. 

'' I am off then, see you later.'' Rain waved at her as she left. She walks towards her room trying to take a nap as Bella had suggested. When she was about to sleep someone came knocking on the door. 

 She had to get up. While walking out of the room the knocks became even louder than ever. '' Yes coming,'' says Rain hurrying towards the door. 

When she opens it she saw that the one standing at the door is none other than Hazel and Grace along with their friend Sarah. Rain could tell by their smell. The smile on Rain's face disappeared. 

'' What are you?'' Rain was about to ask but then Grace sneered at her. '' Rain, won't you tell us to come inside?'' asked Hazel with a smile. '' Forget about that we will force our way inside,'' Grace said pushing her out of the door. 

Hazel followed her inside. Then they both sit on the chair. Rain was not able to understand what are they here for. She went inside. '' Rain bring us some water,'' Grace commands. Rain was not stopping from the spot. '' Hey hurry up will you,'' shouts Grace. 

Rain went inside the kitchen to get some water for them both. But she was still not able to understand what they are here for. Bella is not here so she has to be careful of them. 

She could recall the slap from earlier. When she stands in front of them with both glasses of water she sees something. Yes, the scene of someone bringing her to the cliff then pushing her from there. 

This made the waterfall from her hands in surprise. '' Hey, why did you dropped them?'' shouts Grace standing up. '' She must be afraid of us,'' Hazel snickers. '' What are you both here for?'' Rain shouts at them. 

'' You don't know?'' Grace asked. '' We are here to take you with us now come,'' says Hazel. '' What? No, I won't I am not going to go with you,'' shouts Rain trying to run away from there.

But then Grace holds her down from behind. '' Hey hold her down or else she's going to run away from there,'' Hazel shouts. '' If you run away Bella will receive the punishment you don't want that do you?''. 

This makes Rain stops in her tracks. Then Grace hits Rain in the head with a wood. Thus she lost her consciousness. Taking this chance they hold her down and bring her out of the house like that. 

When they were doing that the neighbor of Rain, Cassy managed to see them. But she was unable to say anything as she was also an Omega. Those of the lower class are not allowed to say anything to the upper class. So she ignored that. 

When Rain regained her consciousness she was able to feel that quite the time had passed when she was knocked out. No one was shouting or anything so it had to be night. They were walking through the unknown part of the forest now. She felt that someone was holding onto her hand. She felt Hazel holding onto her one hand and Grace to the other. 

'' Where am I ?'' shouts Rain not trying to get free from their hold. '' Hey hold on, what are you doing? Shut up,'' Leah commands hitting her in the neck. '' You should stop talking. Or else Bella is going to suffer,'' snorted Grace with a laugh. 

Even though Rain was not able to open her eyes she able to feel that what they are doing is not right. They were dragging Rain as Leah was behind them. '' Where are you taking me ?'' Rain asked. 

'' To a place where you can rest in peace,'' replied Leah. '' Let me go I don't want to go with you,'' Rain said again. 

'' It's not going to work that way. If you don't come then Bella, she will be punished. You know we can create a false report in your stead to the Alpha. So do as we say. Then Bella will be able to live in peace,'' Grace tried to console her. 

When Rain thought about Bella, her heart was about to break up. They are going to do something horrible to her as an excuse for Bella but she has to bear this. For the sake of her. 

But when she comes back she will be worried won't she? She will look for her. Like that they passed the forest. At this time back at home, Bella was back from work and she could not find Rain anywhere at all. She was worried about her safety now. 

Where can she be? After looking for a while she gets out to see Cassy there cleaning the garden. Bella goes up to her and asked,'' Have you seen Rain? My house is quite a mess. All the glass scattered here and there, can you help me?'. 

Cassy's throat went dry hearing that question. Even though she knows she's not allowed to say that. She was about to leave without answering. Then Bella grabs her by the hand. '' Why aren't you speaking up?'' that was her question. 

'' I can't speak up, it's the higher-ups,'' Cassy didn't finish her sentence. '' let me go.'' 

'' It's the Beta's right? They were here to get Rain?'' shouts Bella. '' Tell me where they took her? Answer up please.'' Cassy thought about it for a while. Then she looked at Bella's face. 

This made her forget about all of her fears. '' They took her when you were out. By the way, it seemed they were going towards the cliff. They will pass through the woods and go to the cliff that's what I presume. But I don't know why they are taking her there,'' says Cassy. 

Hearing that Bella could not just stand there. '' Thanks for the information,'' saying this Bella runs towards the woods as mentioned by Cassy. She was trying to run at a great speed. She turned into her wolf form which helped her run faster than usual. 

She was trying her best to reach Rain's place. Soon Grace and her team had crossed the forest. '' There we have arrived,'' Grace says to Rain with a smile. ''Where are you taking me?'' Rain asked. 

'' You will be able to see soon,'' Hazel says. It was then Bella smelled Rain's scent and walks towards them to see Rain walking towards the end of the cliff. '' What? No Rain don't go there,'' shouts Bella running up to her. But then she was stopped by Leah. '' You are not going anywhere,'' Sarah said glaring at her. 

'' No, let me go to her you can't do this. No matter what you can't,'' Bella shouts at her. '' Stay quiet or else you are going to join your friend too,'' shouts Leah slapping her in the face. 

'' Now we have arrived here,'' Grace says standing at the end of the cliff. '' It's goodbye forever Rain. Have a short trip to the other world. Only if it exists though,'' Grace says pushing her off the cliff. 

before Rain was able to understand what she was doing she was falling. '' No, this can't happen no Rain,'' shouts Bella at the top of her lungs seeing Rain pushed down from the cliff. Tears were falling down her face as she bites the hand Leah making her lose her hold in the attempt. 

Bella runs towards the cliff only to see that Rain was not there anymore. '' Rain,'' shouts Bella.
