Chapter 3

At this time, one Beta and one Alpha are now entering the village of Ravenwood from the borders. '' Your highness, why aren't you going through the entrance? This makes you look more of a suspicious person?'' asked the man with a skinny body and an oval face. He seemed to be around twenty. With black hair and black eyes just like the black cat at night. 

'' Oh come on, what's the fun if we take the simple route? I want to check out the village at night without anyone seeing me,'' replied the man beside him. He had brownish red hair with blue eyes. His hair was curly falling onto his face. With a height of more than six feet, as quite handsome and charming. 

He had a strong body with abs and muscles. He had a playful smile on his face. '' But your highness, you are the king of the clan the Great Alpha. It doesn't suit you sneaking around here and there like this. Try to understand your position here a little bit. What I am trying to say is for your benefit. If you act like this then we may be discovered and sent to prison by the Alpha here. You know this is not our territory. So we should not be doing such things,'' begins to say the man beside him. 

Hearing all of that the young man glared at him. '' You know I don't like to talk that much don't you?'' said the man glaring at him in response. '' Ah yes,'' hearing that the other man's face went pale. He was afraid of the Alpha before him. 

'' Why does he has to make me fear him so much? I am no more than a Beta. I know that but those e s, ere making me feel as if he's going to eat me up. I hope he will stop doing things like these. Or else I won't be able to work under him any further because of the fear in me. It's bad for my heart why can't he understand that?'' sighs the other man. 

By this time the man at the front had already crossed the border and is now roaming around freely inside the village of Ravenwood. He was walking towards the forest then went downstairs the stones. It was under the cliff. The other man stayed behind waiting for the Alpha. 

'' This looks like a cliff isn't it ?'' the man asked himself. The stones were scattered here and there. There was little water underneath them. He looked up to see a cliff above his head. '' A cliff? Oh is this the famous cliff or Ravenwood? It's so big as expected. I hope no one tries to jump from there or else even a mighty Alpha like me will have a hard time surviving from there. I guess no one is as stupid enough to do that.'' 

He looked at the sky, it was quite clear enough for him to see the stars. He liked the view he was able to see from there. This can only be found here. He forgot about the Beta he had left behind. 

'' Where's his highness? I can't cross the border and he's doing whatever he pleases inside, isn't he? Should I also cross the border? But it's too high for me to cross, I am not that tall,'' he sighs while thinking about that. 

It was then they had pushed Rain from the cliff. She was descending at a rapid speed. That Alpha looked up to see something falling from there. He was not able to understand what it was at first but then when he cleared his eyes he thought of it as a doll. 

Then the vision was more clear now. It was a girl, she was falling from the cliff. '' A girl? She's falling from there? How's this possible ?'' he thought. '' Wait, she's going to collide into the stone now,'' he looked at the stone. 

'' If she falls there she'll be minced meat,'' he thought. The way she was falling made him worry. '' I guess this is the end for me,'' Rain thought. But before she collided with the rocks she felt someone holding onto her. 

It was some strong pair of arms. She wasn't able to understand what was happening there. Who's this stranger who saved her? Whose warmth is this? The smell is not known to her. 

'' Were you trying to die there or something?'' yelled the Alpha when he held her down before she collided with the stone. Rain was not able to comprehend what was happening there. '' Are you a fool or something? Why did you jump from the cliff? I can think of you as a fool and nothing else than that. Why did you jump?'' he yelled again asking her. 

But her voice was caught in her throat. She gasped for a moment there to believe that she's still alive. '' Hey, can't you speak?' he yelled. Then she somehow gathered the strength to reply to him back. 

''Who,....who...are you?'' she blurted out of surprise. He could not believe what she said just now. Instead of answering him, she asked who he was. '' Listen to you, we're about to die and I saved you in the nick of time. Why did you jump from there?'' he yelled out of impatience. 

'' That's....'' she could not speak anything now. She recalls how they pushed him from there. She could only say,'' Thank you for saving me.'' His anger had calmed down now. He lets out a sigh and thought that he needs to know why she jumped from that dangerous cliff. 

He carried her away from there towards the grass. Then lands her down onto the soft grass. Then sits beside her. Then begins to say,'' I am Odin, and what's your name? You can at least tell me that can't you?''. 

His voice was gruff which made her feel afraid of him at first. She was pondering whether she should tell him about it or something after all she doesn't know him. After a while, she decides to answer him. 

She looks the other way and says,'' I am Rain and a resident at Ravenwood.'' Then he noticed something about her. '' You....'' he sits in front of her then touched her face in his hands staring into her eyes deeply. She was not able to understand what to do now. 

He held her face down for at least five minutes. Rain could feel her heart beating faster than ever after all he was a stranger and the way he was holding her face. She could feel that she needs to get away from his hold. 

'' Open your eyes,'' he said. His sound was quite clear.
