Chapter 49.5

IT was not long after Lucian left her when Jucel was disturbed from her reading spree by another presence. The shadow blocked the light coming from the large arched windows and so she couldn't continue reading.

Frowning, Jucel looked up only to drop her jaw ever so slightly. The shadow was awfully familiar. Tall with messed up hair and those moonlight silver eyes that seemed to shine in the dark. "Sean Olaire."

The shadow moved away and Jucel looked down as her eyes adjusted to the light. Sean Olaire sat in front of her. His eyes crinkled and the corners of his mouth were upturned into a charming smile that suited his boyish face. He had one silver trident earring glinting on his left ear.

"I never saw you again. I thought I encountered a Fēyin that night," he said. Fēyin, as what Jucel read from the books of Demetrius, was the spirit of the dead Kryst. Usually they were associated with bad omen.
