Chapter 8

Emporer Storm Olympus POV

I'm in my office finishing up the last of tonight's paperwork before dinner when I get a knock on the door "come in" I say Lady Venus Hermia a descendant of Hermes and the the lady in waiting in charge of messages for my wife enters my room and curtsies to me.

"Your Majesty, Her Majesty was just examined by the doctor after throwing up, and the doctor says she's about one week pregnant," she says

I light up in joy because I can finally have a child. "Have the Royal Prophets been called to do the reading to see what gender the child will be?" I ask

"No, your Majesty, she sent me to tell you first," she says

"Ok, you may return to my wife and let her know that I'm on my way," I say

"Yes, Your Majesty," she says, then leaves the room

Just then, Irena, my assistant and a descendant of Hermes, walks into the room and curtsies

" Your Majesty, I just got word from the Royal barracks. It seems your wife has called in the vassel states and provinces to boost our army, and they will be here in two days," she says

"Ok, I need you to finish up in here and arrange rooms for the Royal and noble Families of our vassel states, and then I need you to clear my schedule for tomorrow, and then you can go for the night. Also, I'm giving you tomorrow off," I say

"Yes, Your Majesty," she says

With that, I get up and go to my wife's room and knock on the door. The door is opened by a little girl who looks about 10, and she lets me in when she sees who it is. I guess that was the daughter of Nyx that I heard my wife had taken in.

"Atia," I say when I see her, she is surrounded by her ladies in waiting, and I see our Royal Prophets here.

" O good your here Idur and Gelene just got here" she says and I walk over to her Idur and Gelene each put a hand on my wife's stomach and start chanting then their eyes and hair turn white and after a few minutes their hair and and eyes go back to normal and they remove their hands from my wife.

" It looks like you're having triplets" says Idur "one boy and two girls the boy will only be a descendant of Zues they will be a little more power than our current descendants since he is closer to the Gods but he will not have any of the powers that you inherited from Hera and Hade how ever your daughter's will have power from Hades, Hera and Zues" says Gelene as we all just stare in surprise triplets are extremely rare even twins are really rare unless you are the descendant of Apollo or Artemis who always have twins the Royal family has never given birth to triplets. Even more surprising is that 2 of them will have the power of 3 different gods. It's rare to have the power of 2 gods like Atia let alone three.

I myself the son of a father who was a descendant of Zues and a mother who was the descendant of Hera but I only have the power of Zues, my sister Giuna has both the power of Zues and Hera but my sister Riara only has the power of Zues as well. Genetics are weird like that. Either way it pretty much unheard of to have a child with the power of 3 different gods yet we are going to have 2.

Soon enough, shock gives way to excitement as I think about my future son and two daughters the the children of gods, who give birth much faster than humans, and Atia is the daughter of Hades, so in three months I'm going to be a father.

I go back to my study  and I see Irena waiting there "Irena start preparations for a ball to announce my wife's pregnancy the vassal states will arrive in two weeks plan the ball for the day after they arrive I want the whole Empire to know that I'm going to be a father I can hardly wait also inform my father and mother they should be the first to know let them know that I'm having triplets one will only be a descendant of Zues that will be my son and the other two will be descendants of Zues, Hera and Hades they will be my daughters."

"Yes, Your Majesty," she says with a bow as she leaves the office.

After she leaves I start doing paperwork I have a lot of paperwork to do with the upcoming war and arrival of the province and vassal state leaders and armies it's going to be busy for the next few days.

It's a welcome distraction from his fear because he's afraid he knows that Atia has been making plans to win this war but that doesn't mean he isn't afraid he is so afraid of failing and losing the one's he loves.

He stands up and goes over to his window looking out over the capital city. He wants nothing more than to keep his people safe and he will do whatever it takes to keep them safe because he doesn't want his people to suffer.

He vows to himself that he will win this war not for himself but for his people who rely on him, and to create a safe kingdom for his unborn children.

Irena enters the room, bowing, "Your Majesty, I informed your parents, and they told me to tell you congratulations and that you'll be a wonderful father, and that Her Majesty will be a wonderful mother."

"Thank you, Irena, you can go now, it's getting late, you can continue to make preparations for the ball tomorrow."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Irena says with a bow before turning to leave.
