As soon as I stepped outside, a sudden cold breeze strike my face.A cold shiver ran down my spine.My steps came a halt unconsciously, I stiffened sensing someone's presence behind me.So close that the hair on my body rose, a feeling so strong and inviting but the very next second it feels threatening.

A very faint whisper reached my ear, however I couldn't understand it.

"Annalise!" I flinch hard, stepping forward instantly when Maddox's voice registered in my ear.I looked behind and there was nothing suspicious, the school looks normal.

I blinked, trying to recall what just happened but it vanished from my memory as fast as it had happened.No matter how much I try to recall, I was left with a strange feeling only.

I shift my eyes back to Maddox who was at the school gate, clad in black leather jacket, belted jeans and his usual sports sneakers.My eyes moved to the car parked outside as I continued walking.

My phone buzzed, I looked at the screen and it showed the cal
