Annalise

My mother wiped the blood from my cheek with the tissue which burned at the contact but somehow she managed to clean it.

"Anna, it's not your fault..You did it to protect me sweetie" Mom said while cupping my face in between her palms.

I held her hand before removing it from my cheeks.

Her eyes blurred with tears when I stepped back but I was too much in a daze.

One question flashed in my head.

"Is it possible that I could hurt you? Dad? Lucas and..and—

Maddox.. I could hurt him because most of the time my outbursts are directed at him.

She didn't let me finish, engulfing me in her arms while continuously chanting

"no.. sweetie you can never, don't blame yourself" Tears rolled down her cheeks as she rubbed my back.

I pulled away from the hug and nodded to ease her worry.

"I want to go on a walk," I said, glancing at the mess in the hall which was freaking me out.I want to disappear.

"I will join you" She wiped her tears and smiled.
