Chapter 12
When Mizuko woke up from a nap, she abruptly sits up, looking around for Kenshi. She sits up and rubs her eyes. It looks like he had tricked her into taking a nap but then again she said she would guard him.
"Good. You're finally awake!"
Mizuko turned around and saw a beautiful woman with raven hair. She has beautiful purple eyes, long lashes and perfect full lips. The only thing that bothered Mizuko was how revealing the woman's outfit was.
"D-do I know you?" Mizuko asked, her brows slightly drawn together.
"Didn't my— the young Kenshi told you about an escort?"
"You are the witch? But I thought—"

Yushiro finally made it back inside the castle. In the throne room, he bends one knee, lowered his head down in front of the king who is sitting on the throne."Father, my guard had failed me in executing the crown prince of Yami." It hurts his ego to say it but he has to admit to his defeat. "I deserve to be punished for my carelessness.""I do not expect anything from you, my son. But I acknowledge how you work hard just to lose," says the King.Yushiro secretly glares at his father's remarks. It was an off day for Mizuko and so Miranda told her that she can go wherever she pleases today but she has to be back before the dark. The witch had given her some silver and gold coins in case there was something she wanted to buy.The sky was not so blue for the sun and the sky are hiding behinds layers of clouds. It doesn't look all too bad, you can say it is just cloudy.First things first, she should go to the library and research about the Kingdom. Then she should go and see how she can enter the castle and speak to the King himself. With that decided for her day, she walk herself towards the library.It is like a common library that has a librarian who wears glasses with thin eyebrows and excess makeup. Well, at least that is one thing alike from their world.

Mizuki continues to run hysterically towards nowhere when suddenly she felt her heart skip a beat and she began to feel weak, falling on her knees as she held her heart. She catches her breath, coughing from the sudden pain in her chest.When her breathing calmed, she swallowed hard. She was about to stand to continue running away when she notices the markings on her hands. She tries to wipe it away, but it just spread up to her arms."No! What is this?!" she cries, hysterically rubbing them off of her.When it wouldn't go off, she highs herself, crying helplessly. Then suddenly she remembers that lady who told her not to make a promise with a demon. With her lips trembling, she sobs further. Is this why her mother died? Is it because she trusted a demon too?

Three days later and like what Master Kaja told her, Kenshi didn't really visit her anymore. And so today, she is hoping to see him at a puppet show Miranda told her about.Mizuko was told that Kenshi likes the puppet shows that are being held at the plaza every Saturday. She would not assume a demon would be fond of something like that. Well, this will be the first time she will see for real what those shows are all about.As she walks to the plaza, she suddenly bumped into someone. After the puppet show, Mizuko walked awkwardly besides Kenshi, nibbling her lip as she wants to say something but just can't bring herself to say things. She is about to go damn crazy.Before meeting Kenshi, she used to always think when watching a movie how leading girls just suddenly act like someone else around the guys they like. Leading girls would act shy, sweet and vulnerable when they find out they have feelings for the leading guy. Mizuko never understood those until now that she is with Kenshi. She has that shyness and she's embarrassed for reasons she can't understand. Was it for crying last night? In the middle of the night, when barely any human walk through alleys, Miranda decided to go out and talk to Kenshi.
