(5 years later)

“what do you want for breakfast kids?” I asked my babies while preparing my coffee.

“I want some pancake with maple syrup mom” Sander said while yawning

“I want pancake with strawberry syrup mom” Sandro said

“I want some pancake with chocolate syrup mommy” Sandra said while manang delia fixes her hair.

“Alright kids, coming right up!!”

Nagsimula na akong magluto ng pancake at sinangag na may spam at hotdog para samin nila manang. It’s been 5 years since that incident happened. Nagpakalayo layo ako sa tulong ng aking bestfriend dahil hanggang ngayon ay wala parin kaming kontak ni mama. She didn’t believe me when I said I was raped. She’s very disappointed in me. That’s why humingi ako ng tulong sa kaibigan kong si bri. Nakakahiya man but I have no other choice. Thankfully, she lent me her condo unit and gave me a job in her father’s company. For the past 5 years, wala akong ginawa kundi ang magtrabaho at magipon. Nakatulong din ang monthly groceries ni briana saming nila manang. Ngayon nakapagpatayo na ako ng sariling cake and coffee shop at the same time nakahanap ng trabaho para makapagdagdag sa gastusin araw araw.

Manang volunteered to be with me during that time na lumayas ako. Sinama nya ang kanyang dalawang anak na babae. Sila ang naging katuwang ko sa pag aalaga sa tatlo kong anak. God blessed me with a wonderful triplet. I couldn’t ask for more. Ngayon lumago ang sarili kong business at ng matanggap ako sa kompanya ng ling internation corporation ay nakapundar ako ng bahay at kotse, pati narin ang pangsweldo kila manang kahit na ayaw nilang tanggapin.

“Kids, here are your foods. Make sure na ubusin nyo lahat ng yan okay?” I said while eating.

“goodmorning ate” ana, manang delia’s first born daughter calls me ate. Matanda lang ako sa kanya ng dalawang taon. Isa na syang ganap na guro sa isang pampublikong paaralan sa elementarya. Hindi ko sila pinilit magstay dito bagkus pasasalamat daw nila ito dahil utang na loob daw nila ang lahat ng meron sila ngayon sa pamilya naming. Manang has been with us since she was in her 20’s hanggang sa magkaasawa at magkaanak.

“goodmorning ana, let’s eat na call manang and grace sabay sabay na tayong kumain.”

“Mom can we go to the mall later?” Sandra asked while pouring a lot of chocolate syrup in her pancake.

“why baby?”

“ I want to buy new dress mommy please I got a star from teacher belle yesterday. “she pouted

They have tutorial class thrice a week in order for them to be ready this coming enrollment. Nakasanayan na naming  na everytime they do well in class which is LAGI, they have reward. But they know their limits.

“okay, we’ll go to the mall later but before that we’ll go first to the shop. “

Nagsihiyawan naman si Sandra at Sandro while sander is quietly eating his pancake. Sa kanilang tatlo, Sander is the quiet and serious one. He prefers reading and exploring things than playing. He is also While Sandro is the easy go lucky one. He’s so carefree and friendly and he prefers cooking and exploring in the kitchen. While Sandra is the spoiled one. Her brothers are protective of her and she’s quite a kikay. She loves getting dolled up. My little fashionista. Iba iba man ang kanilang personality but I love them equally more than my life. My greatest blessing.

“kids, pick what you want. But know your limits. You only get to buy 3 toys for yourself. Okay? “they all nodded. Kasama namin si manang delia and grace dahil available naman si grace ngayon. Agad na nagsitakbuhan sila Sandro at Sandra papunta sa art section. While sander is holding my hand. kanya kanya naman silang kumuha ng mga gusto nila. Surprisingly, sander bought a lot of books and art materials while Sandro bought a kitchen set na pwedeng magamit talaga ng bata. While Sandra bought a make up kits for kids. Napailing nalang ako sa mga kakulitan nila.

Pagkatapos naming mamasyal ay dumiretso na kami sa greenwhich na paboritong kainan ng mga bata. They prefer pasta and pizza than rice. Habang Naglalakad patungo sa cashier ay may nakabunggo saking matangkad na lalaki.

“Uh—I’m sorry” I said and looked at the man in a suit.

He looked so shocked at nilampasan ko nalang dahil sa nagmamadali ako. He felt familiar tho.

“Hello? Caleb? Where are you right now?” I asked while waiting for my order. It’s been 5 years but I can’t forget her face. When I woke up that time she’s gone.

“hey bud! I’m with cane, and dash now. We’re in HideoutPH. Why?” he asked

“can you drop by later in my pad? I just need to talk to you” I sigh

“no problem bud. “with that I ended the call. I secretly took a picture of the woman and waited for my order.

“jack clear my schedule for today. Tell them I have an emergency” I told jack while heading to my car.

“ sir, ngayon darating si sir Cedric for your deal”

“tell him I’m not available today.” He nodded.

“let’s go to the HideoutPH first.” Hindi na ako mapakali. I don’t know why but it seems na hindi ako nakilala nung babae. Or maybe she doesn’t care at all.

Agad naman akong sinalubong nila caleb ng makapasok sa VIP lounge. Maraming iba’t ibang inumin na alak sa pahabang mesa at may tv din sa harapan. May tugtog din na napakalakas.

“oh pare, working hours mo ngayon ah, bakit nandito ka?” dash asked while pouring mojito on the shot glass.

“caleb, remember 5 years ago, nung umuwi ako galling Italy, remember the girl? Yung hinire mo?” I asked and drank the mojito.

“huh? What girl?” he seemed confused.

“yung kalokohan mong surprise sa kwarto ko”

“pare, ang surprise ko sayo adult toy hindi babae. Anong pinagsasabi mo jan?”

“damn caleb. The girl! YUNG HINIRE MO ! ETO” pinakita ko naman ang litrato na kuha ko kanina sa mall

“seriously?! I swear bud wala akong hinire na babae. Bakit ba? Anong meron?”

“this woman. Shit! Did I raped her? Damn!!! “

“WHAT?!” they all said in unison

“when I got back from Italy, jack told me na may surpresa ka sakin at nasa kwarto na. pagkapasok ko sa kwarto may mga rose petals na nagkalat at may babaeng tulog sa kama na may hawak na wine.i thought that was your gift?”

“woah pare loko loko ako pero hindi ako ganyan mangsurprise. looks like you messed up huh”

“damn it. Kanina nagkasalubong kami and she didn’t seem to remember me. Nagising nalang ako na wala sya sa tabi ko. I don’t even know her name. she was drubk when it happened” Napahilamos nalang ako sa mukha.

“did you use protection?” dash asked

“no but I’m her first.”

Bigla kaming natahimik. Kahit na paloko loko kami o sa tingin ng iba ay babaero nagkakamali sila. Women throw themselves to us but we don’t force them to do it. It’s their choice. We respect women as much as we respect our mom and sisters.

“fix that pare. Alamin mo kung paano nangyaring nasa suite mo yang babaeng yan.”

Napatango nalang ako sa sobrang frustration. I was her first and yet I didn't even know her name. i didn't get the chance to formally introduced myself.
