Chapter Sixty-two

Margo sighed as she stared Kane down. He wasn’t happy with the current situation and was presently trying to persuade her to let someone else take over her job. She crossed her arms over her chest and frowned up at him. Machine stood to the side with Penny, Maribell, and Dex watching as the two of them stared each other down. 

“Kane, I know you’re not happy with what’s going on but this is happening whether you like it or not.” She said, glaring up at him.

“Why does it have to be you? That’s what I don’t understand.” He growled. 

“Why don’t you understand?” She fired back. 

“What do you mean?” Kane asked, sighing with frustration.
