First shift in 500 years

I lay next to Tru as she sleeps. It surprises me how strong she is. I didn’t expect her to be able to withstand my full power. But she did and seemed to like it. At least I hope she enjoyed it.

I plan to have Tru wear my clothes Sunday to have her scent on me Monday. I don’t just want to let her go by herself. The thought of her being alone with the wolf and a vampire gives me an uneasy feeling. But, I’m worried that being with her will only put Tru in more danger. She’s very loyal, and I’ve enjoyed being with her. I don’t want her to get hurt.

I feel the need to shift into my proper form. After feeding the gem the energy I got from Tru, I go outside. It’s after midnight, and the area we are staying in seems sparse. I got a cabin this time to give Tru and me some privacy.  

It doesn’t take me long to shift, and I quickly take flight. I fly above the clouds. The last time I flew was two days after
