Well, well, well, Aurelio...

Jemma took slow steps back, her knees felt cold immediately that she began stuttering.

“I.. it… it’s..” she managed to say. Words just couldn’t find it’s way out of her mouth.

Mrs Camila turned to look at Jemma with a death glare.

“How dare you!!!” She screamed out and Jemma staggered back

“I didn’t do anything… I never.. I didn’t mean to… “ Jemma replied stuttering.

Her mom just stood where she was, holding her father in her hands.

“What have you done Jemma??” She asked her and then Mrs Bertram grabbed Jemma by her wrist glaring intently into her eyes.

“If anything happens to my daughter and her baby, I promise you would rot in hell!!” she yelled at Jemma

“Can we just stop all these and do the needful right now, which is to take Erica to the hospital” Aurelio yelled at no one in particular

“What? Is she the only one in that Condition, she made my father this way too and you’re not saying anything! What if he dies? Erica is more important huh?” Jemma asked with a loud voice and immediately Mrs Bertram threw a slap at her face.

Mrs James gasped immediately and Jemma flinched back.

The look in Mrs Bertram eyes was clearly showing how angry she was.

“What type of creature is this?!!” Mr Bertram yelled referring to Jemma.

His wife turned to Aurelio and immediately felt heart broken seeing Erica in such a state.

“Hospital! Immediately!”

“I will call the family Doctor now” Mr Bertram said and did immediately

Aurelio lifted Erica in a bridal style and rushed her out of the mansion to his car.

His mom followed him behind and his father did too.

“Get these things out of this house now!” Mr Bertram ordered his guards and then they walked to Jemma, her mom and her unconscious father with no facial expression.

“No! Let me be!” Jemma screamed as she tried to jerk off their hands but their grip was just too strong for her to break loose.

“Call the ambulance for this man here” one of them said to the other.

“I don’t want them to leave.. they are coming with us” Mr Bertram said and got into his car with his wife and son.

A driver went to take over the wheels while Aurelio held Erica in his hands.

“Please hold on my Love” he whispered lowly.

Mr Bertram was seated next to the driver and his wife was beside Aurelio holding him.

Mr Bertram already reached the family Doctor and was sure he was already setting up Erica’s VIP ward.

Immediately the car drove out of the mansion as the other vehicle where Mr James and his family followed behind them.

           Meanwhile,

Aryan got the greatest news of his life, he had been discharged!

That was a great news to him and he could not hide how happy he was.

His Father stepped into the ward with a smile of congratulations on his face.

“I know you are a fighter and you will come out” he said to Aryan.

“Yes Dad, you’re right and no doubt” he replied as he pulled his dad into a hug.

His father turned to the doctor after pulling away from the hug,

“He will just have to be using his medications till he finishes it with and definitely get more better, congratulations Mr Aryan” the doctor said and bowed his head a little before he left the room with his nurse.

Aryan gave a side smile and turned to his father, “so where are you going to now?” his father asked him and saw him inhale deeply.

“I have one person to see, I want him to see me too” Aryan replied as he got off the bed feeling more energetic.

“Who is that son..?” his father asked him with a raised brow

“Aurelio Bertram” he replied with a tone of finality.

       The doctor had already taken Erica into the ward to start treatment.

Aurelio was waiting outside the ward but was looking in through the glass windows.

His heart hasn’t stopped beating so fast, he had even forgotten about Jemma, all his mind was on his fiancée, his woman, Erica.

She needs to survive what ever the case is.

   Jemma father was also taken to a room while she waited outside the room with her Mom.

Mr Bertram sighted them and walked to her.

“Sir, uhm please before you say anything—” Mrs James was trying to say something before he cut her words short.

“Do not open that mouth here woman. If only you didn’t show your face to reap where you haven’t sowed, all this would not be happening to my daughter in there!!” he yelled getting the attention of the people around.

“She is my daughter too sir, it’s your fault too, how could you take her in without out consent!” Mrs James fired back.

“Tell me one tangible reason why I should have done that?, So that you can use her as an asset?? Or you say no to her future like you can give her a better one? As long as I am concerned Mrs James! Erica is my daughter and not yours…you had better pray she comes out alive with no health issue or you and your daughter here will have a taste of me” he gnarled and turned to leave.

He noticed his wife and got up to walk to them but has to stop her before she says her mind and create a scene.

           Aryan’s father released a sigh and folded his arms.

“What is it son? Why don’t you just leave that guy to me to handle?” his father asked him

“I want to handle him in my own way Dad, thanks but don’t bother…” he replied and gave a smile at his father.

After few minutes, one of his men stepped into the ward.

“We found his location sir” he said to Aryan.

“And where is that?. Aryan asked immediately

“He’s at a hospital now, Kingston hospital..” he replied and Aryan got confused, shocked and amazed

“A whole Aurelio? At a hospital? Why?” he Asked

“We don’t know that yet sir, the car is ready for us to move” he replied

“Yeah will find out the reason soon, let’s leave immediately” Aryan said.

      After about thirty minutes in the ward working on Erica, the Doctor stepped out of the room and Aurelio stood up immediately.

“Doctor!” he called out and walked to him.

“How is my daughter? Would she survive?” His mom asked immediately

“Tell me you did your job well on her” his father added and the doctor heaved a heavy sigh.

“What is the problem Doctor?” Aurelio asked worriedly

“Your fiancée Erica is okay, she would wake up soon” he replied

“what about the baby?” Mrs Camila asked

“The baby is fine too ma’am” he replied and everyone sighed.

“But….” He added and they paused to look at him

“The mother really got affected, that hit was so sudden and effective” he started with.

“Why did she bleed?” Aurelio asked feeling tensed up.

“is it from her brain or what doctor?” Aurelio asked..

“her blood vessel actually burst in her brain and it’s as a Result of the fall” he explained

“But you’ve treated that right?” Mr Bertram asked

“Yes sir, but there are effects, she might have memory loss and tinnitus” he explained and Aurelio felt a heart pain immediately.

“Erica? Memory loss?? Why? No!” Mr Bertram said

“I don’t know so sure of that sir..but she will definitely experience tinnitus and that’s ringing in the ear, I don’t know how long it would last, normally it should not last too long but for a while” he replied

“what?” Mrs Camila exclaimed already breaking down. She had negative thoughts coming through her head already.

Thoughts like; what if Erica doesn’t remember Aurelio.

“she would not remember Lola?” she asked her husband

“I am so sorry about that, bleeding in the brain is really a serious case, I am surprised she survived. Her case is subdural hematoma” he explained

“And what’s that?” Aurelio’s Mom asked immediately.

“Would she be fine with medications??” she added.

“Yes, but from time to time, she would be experiencing dizziness, headaches, sleepiness, vision problems same as speech problems too and then passing out” he explained

“WHAT! This is too much for her, she’s pregnant! Oh good Lord!” Mrs Camila cried out on her husband chest.

“let’s just wait for her to wake up and hopefully she should remember few people or a few” he replied

“Can I go see her?” Aurelio asked

“Yes sure, I’ll be in my office” the doctor replied and walked away with his staff.

“Jemma that bitch is coming with me, she deserves to die!” Mrs Camila gnarled

   Aurelio was about to walk away to the ward, but then he heard his name.

“Aurelio Bertram!” from a familiar voice.

He stopped immediately and turned around to see Aryan standing with 4 of his men.

“It is really Aurelio Bertram….”
