Father!?

Aurelio felt like his parents don’t want to give him what he wants. He stared at his father with a blank expression and stood in akimbo, placing his hands on his waist then he let his head low shaking it slowly. “Are you both having a pity on me or what?” he asked no one in particular and got no response from them.

They only looked at him with a blank look too and his Grandpa Mr Maynard looked away after scoffing.

“Dad!!! Talk to grandpa.. probably he is seeing it as a joke, but I am being serious here..I get stomped on everyday because of the both of you, Dad please talk to Grandpa, I know you’ll take orders from him” Aurelio pleaded with his hands together and with a pleading face.

“Aurelio, I gave you a position in the company..it suits you so well, like a gentleman” his dad replied

“Aurelio? A gentleman?!” his grandpa laughed

“ Don’t take it too personal Aurelio.. your dad doesn’t know you ain’t a gentleman, but I as your grandpa know you aren’t one” His grandpa walked to him tapping his shoulders and Aurelio tried his best not to laugh. He knew his grandpa was right.. he isn’t one.

“Aurelio is my son Dad, I know him more than you do, and besides I was right Aurelio or wasn’t I? The company position suits you so why would you want to go into what your grandpa is .. you should be a cool gentleman and a CEO that will seat in his office and Mansion while millions and billions swims into your bank account” his dad said

“Not to be mob boss like your grandpa, I am more focused on the doings of the company son and it’s cool” his Dad explained

“I find what grandpa does more fun, I love it..and dad I am not a gentleman, I want to handle guns and give orders, take revenge and—” his dad cut him short while his grandpa sat back and placed his legs on the table laughing out.

“What are you even saying, your grandpa is a Mob boss and you want to be a Mobster? Looks like you don’t know who a Mafia is” his dad slapped his forehead laughing.

“Why wouldn’t I know, why would I want to be something I don’t know, a Mob boss typically has absolute or nearly absolute control over the other members of the organization, our organization, and is often greatly feared or respected for their cunning, strategy, or ruthlessness and willingness to take lives to exert their influence and profits from the criminal endeavors we the organization engages in.. easy isn’t it?” he explained

“You said it right Grandson” his grandpa replied

“Dad!!!” Mr Bertram exclaimed aloud

“Dad!! What is it? Don’t you partake of the activities done here too?” Aurelio asked his father

“Off course yes, I’m of age to handle the organization but I don’t want to.. Being a Mob boss is stressful..it is illegal.. yeah the activities at times are illegal so I do not get involved so much” his Dad exclaimed

“And I love it that way” Aurelio smirked and turned to his grandpa, he walked to him and knelt before him hugging his legs

“Grandpa please say something, it’s in your hands and you know it so well, I want to be like you, I don’t want the company..not like I don’t you see, I..God..I’m just confused” Aurelio said and then his grandpa spoke up.

“I understand you son, it’s not because your father love his Job occupation that you should too as his son, everyone has their own dreams” his grandpa explain and Mr Bertram laughed out

“Dad are you seriously saying this now? “ Mr Bertram asked in disbelief

“I am still talking to my grandson Bertram so keep it closed! “ Mr Maynard exclaimed raising his finger in the air and then Mr Bertram rolled his eyes and stood in akimbo.

“As I was saying, I can see your passion Aurelio, I know you want to… but do you think you can handle it? “ his grandpa asked him

“What is there again, off course yes I want to” Aurelio replied with determination clearly seen on his face and then his grandpa rested his back on his seat.

“Rise up son, this is not something we will just say, I need to discuss something with your father” he replied as Aurelio stood up

“okay no probs Grandpa, and please dad be cool, dint talk about the company” he said to his dad

“You need to know something Aurelio…” His grandfather said to him

Aurelio pauses and looked back at him, “what is it grandpa?” he replied and saw his grandpa give his father a type of eyes more like signaling his father to do something..

“you know where you are coming from isn’t it?” His dad asked

“ Yeah I do…” he replied and then his grandpa spoke up

“you should seat down Aurelio..” he said to him as he did.

Everyone of them took their seat and then Mr Maynard sat up straight.

“Well you two are actually sounding weird, what do you mean by that question father?” Aurelio asked his Dad.

“Don’t be scared son, you’ll know what you need to know” his dad replied

“And what is it?” Aurelio replied curiously

“You are the first son of this family, and not just that.. the only son of this family, a true heir of the company” his dad said and he rolled his eyes

“And at the same time the true heir of this organization” his grandpa replied and he saw his father nod

Aurelio had a bright smile on his face immediately, “like seriously?? Are you saying I can run the company and at the same time the organization?” he asked and saw his parents nod their heads

“Wow!!” he exclaimed happily

“but!” his grandpa cleared his throat. Aurelio face dropped immediately, what could his grandpa be thinking, what is he about to say now!?

“but what grandpa?” Aurelio asked lowly and saw his grandpa look at his father.

“I will still discuss it with your father then back with you, so rest your mind..you are entitled to both. You are taking over as the heir but still I will talk to my son” his grandpa replied

“My father” Aurelio chuckled and then he stood up

“in that case, I’d be hoping to hear from you both..when?” he smiled at thrm

“First thing tomorrow morning.. you will hear what you need to from him” His grandpa replied

“Oh..okay then, you’ve said it grandpa, till tomorrow.” He replied and walked to the door then stopped

“And..you all should have a good night rest” he said to them with a smile and walked through the door.

His father chuckled and turned back to Mr Maynard. “His mood is back up, he doesn’t even know what I want to say” his grandpa laughed

“Father, do you really want Aurelio to take over?” his dad asked him lowly

“Bertram, Aurelio is supposed to, he is my grandson and your son..I know you understand”

“I clearly do father”

“Then what are you scared of son?” his grandpa lowly asked him holding his shoulders

“His life dad, you and I know this thing is all risky..gun attacks, I’m just worried about him that’s all” he replied and then Mr Maynard heaved a sigh.

“I know, I understand but you should know Aurelio is a man with dignity, power, he can do it, he is strong, I am sure he would be able to handle all that has to do with it, be rest assured Bertram, he knows everything about here and how we work.. just the word ‘go ahead’ is what’s left” Mr Maynard said

“Yeah, so what are we going to say..he said he wants that word” his dad said and then his grandpa leaned against his seat

“Easy..I have a reply to that” he clicked his tongue rolling his tongue and crossed his legs.

“which is?” Mr Bertram suspiciously asked his father

“An heir, he should have an heir” Mr Maynard cold voice was heard.

Meanwhile,

Aurelio had left the mansion with his guards and went into the vehicle immediately.

“You ready sir?” his driver asked him softly

“Yeah go ahead” he replied and rested his head against the back seat.

The car drove away smoothly heading back home while he shut his eyes a little.

THE NEXT MORNING

Erica felt a very cool breeze against her skin, the atmosphere felt cold.

She slowly turned her body against something strong and at the same time soft.

She slowly opened her eyes and could see the TV screen blurry and at the same time she felt something dangling on her neck.

Erica slowly looked down at her neck and saw she still had her necklace on.

“wait! Did I really sleep off?” she asked herself rubbing her eyes gently and then she opened them to see clearly this time.

The room was the same way she left it last night, immediately she was back to her consciousness and sat up immediately.

“What!! I slept off?!” she asked herself wide eyed and looked at the wall clock immediately.

She had less than thirty minutes to prepare for work

“Oh my goodness!!!!!!” she screamed at the top of her voice and jerked up the couch immediately throwing her hands in the air.

Immediately she ran to her room taking her clothes off at the same time.

She felt her stomach rumble and then she muttered

“just keep quiet!” she hasn’t eaten so well since yesterday and now she is rushing off to work again

“oh God what did I do?” she cried as she completely took off her clothes and ran into the bathroom.

“Dear Lord, please I hope could get a taxi in less than 3 minutes” she prayed under the shower.

She couldn’t waste time under the shower. For the first time in her life she had a bath in less than five minutes and dressed up in less than two minutes.

“I hope I wore my pants?” she asked herself and touched her ass to feel it.

She did!..

Erica went to her locker and pulled it out taking some cash out.

“Breakfast!”

“get something to eat Erica, no time to cook” she said to herself and ran out of her room.

She ran as fast as she could to the living room and couldn’t see her phone around.

“where did you go to?” she cried lowly and began to scatter the living room

“Why now?? When I am late already “ she slapped her forehead and later stood straight and saw her phone by the floor side of the couch.

“There you are” she said picking her phone up and ran out of the house immediately making sure she locked her doors.

Luckily enough she saw a taxi outside her house and ran to the vehicle immediately before it could pass.

“Taxi! Taxi!!” she screamed immediately and saw the taxi pull to a halt.

“Yay finally” she sighed happy that she went in.

Meanwhile,

Aurelio Bertram was still in his mansion, laying comfortably on his bed in his white silky bathrobes and a cup of black coffee in his hands .

“Just waiting for you dad” he smiled hopefully and kept his eyes fixed on the large TV screen before him, a smart TV.

A knock was heard on the door, he thought of who would want to come see him.

“ it’s open” he said and saw the door open. A guard stood by the door dressed up in his black suits and had his dark shades on

“what’s up?” Aurelio asked him taking a sip of his coffee

“Mr Bertram just arrived at the mansion” he said.

A wide smile appeared on Aurelio’s face immediately, “My dad??” he exclaimed out if Joy and jumped off his bed spilling the coffee all over his bed.

“Oh fvck!!” he slapped his forehead groaning lowly.

“I will get a maid to clean that up sir” the guard said and Aurelio ran out the room

“Yeah please do so” he said and ran down the hallway, the foyer, Till he got to the living room to patiently wait for his dad.

He sighted a magazine beside him and picked it up, “I don’t want my dad to notice how curious I am” he muttered and in less than 5 minutes, his dad stepped in.

“Father!!!!!” he surprisingly screamed out even when he never planned to.
