         Erica hands were tightly around Aurelio's neck, she forgot about what is happening and released herself to cry on his shoulders.

Who cares about what Aryan had said to her?

She ignored those thoughts and wrapped her hands more tightly around him.

His hands smoothly went around her small waist as he whispered to her ears “Love bug is here” he replied with a smile thinking she would pull away and hit him again but she didn’t instead, she remained in his hands the more.

Aurelio slowly lifted his head and the first eyes he met was Rolph’s eyes.

Fear was clearly seen in his eyes while he looked into Aurelio’s eyes and all he could read from his eyes is anger!.

“ You’re —a—dead—meat” Aurelio stated on by one so he could get it into his brain.

Rolph was already trembling, fear already gripped him yet he tried to be strong

“What can you do huh? You are not leaving here with her, neither get what you want” he replied.

Aurelio was shocked.

“Why didn’t I know who you really are all these while” Aurelio replied and looked down at Erica.

“you will have to stay in the car pumpkin” he said to her ears and pulled away.

She looked into his eyes and looked around “You’ll be safe okay” he assured her as she nodded her head and walked to the car.

She could not even take a close look at the car and drool over it, she went in to the passenger seat immediately.

“What I want! A time like this! I just can’t keep wait to kill you Aurelio, maybe I’ll use this opportunity” Aryan said as took steps further.

“That opportunity can never come Aryan, you should stop dreaming, go back to college and become a better person” Aurelio replied.

Aryan scoffed immediately hearing that from Aurelio “Are you advising me now to go back to college? Do you know what that b!tch you are carrying around did to me? She slapped my precious face and I won’t let her leave witho—” 

Aurelio grabbed his cheeks, pinching them with his fingers tightly.

“Dare call her that again, I won’t hesitate to slit your throat” he said with a death stare into Aryan’s eyes.

Aryan tried to break free from his grip but he couldn’t, he could not even manage to say a word but glare at Aurelio.

Aurelio pushed him back immediately, again and again.

“You dare touch my woman huh?”  he asked Aryan with a low laugh as he shook his head.

“Since when did you get yourself one Aurelio, you are not—”  Aryan trailed off as Aurelio shut him up with a heavy punch that cut his lips immediately.

“You dare slap her huh?” Aurelio growled angrily and threw a slap at Aryan’s face, Aryan could do nothing but stagger back.

He felt like a cymbal was smashed beside his ear 

“you dare push her huh?” Aurelio yelled at him and forcefully pushed Aryan by his shoulder.

Aryan was still trying to get himself after receiving the punch, but after the slap he felt like he was lost already and now a strong push?

He fell to the ground immediately. Aurelio leaned forward to him and grabbed him by his collar.

“what did I tell you huh? I am Aurelio Bertram! I will get what I want.. and not just that, I will give to you what you deserve” Aurelio said to his face and threw another punch at his face.

He rained Aryan’s face with several brutal punches that his men could do nothing but watch.

And when one thought of running, Rowan shot him by his knee cap immediately.

“Fvck!!” he yelled out of pain and fell to the ground groaning in pain.

One of his fear was being shot in his knee cap, that hurts than being shot in the chest. Than hell itself.

Erica did nothing but to sit and watch, she tilted her head to the left and jerked hearing the gunshot again.

It was definitely Rowan shooting.

“Sir we need to leave this place before the cops would arrive” Wilson whispered to Aurelio’s ear.

“I know that” Aurelio replied and pulled Aryan up with him pushing him to his car heavily.

He pulled him back and turned his face to the car as he grabbed his hair from behind and smashed his face to his car.

“it is your car not mine, I am not the one hurting you okay?” Aurelio laughed at him.

This time Aryan was already lifeless, he fell to the ground with his already bleeding, bruised and swollen.

Rowan had the rest of the men handle Aryan’s men. They had dealt with them badly that none of them could get up on their feet.

Rolph was hiding where he was, scared of loosing his life, scared of taking a step out.

He watched closely and could see none of them had their attention where he was and none were closer except Aurelio that was backing him.

“I will not die alone” he said lowly and could see the stick just few inches away from him then went to get it.

Erica slowly turned to her left and could see Rolph picking up the stick with a wicked look on his face. He gripped it in his hands tightly and took slow steps further.

She traced his steps with her eyes and could see he was going for Aurelio.

Immediately she ran out of the car running to Aurelio.

Rolph was just few steps away and raised his hands to hit him.

“Noooooo!!” Erica screamed aloud. Aurelio Heard her voice from behind and immediately he saw her hand around his waist as she spun around with him.

He could see Rolph before him immediately with the heavy stick in his hands, his eyed went wide immediately and before him…..Erica got struck.

Rolph could not stop but hit Erica at the back of her head.

She gasped immediately. Her hands grabbed Aurelio’s collar with her green beautiful eyes looking into his.

She felt dizzy immediately

He could see her eyes slowly close and in the next seconds, she fell unconscious in his hands.

“Erica!!” he yelled out immediately and caught her before she could fall.

Rolph staggered back and out of shock he dropped the stick down his hands immediately.

“What have I done?”  he thought

He knew he was gone for good already, he had just hit Erica before Aurelio?!!

Aurelio slowly looked at him, no smile on his face but death look instead.

“You have a death wish right? Consider yourself gone” he said to Rolph.

Rolph was about to run away but got a punch from Rowan immediately that sent him to sleep.

“He is coming with us” Aurelio said sternly.

Wilson brought out a long bag and kept Rolph in the bag then zipped it up after tying his hands and legs as tight as anything super tight.

He was then carried and kept in the car boot of the car Rowan is driving.

Aurelio lifted Erica in a bridal style and kept her in the car back seat laying her gently.

Her bags were packed and kept in the car while Aurelio went to the driver seat.

Rowan returned to the car with other men and drove away behind Aurelio leaving Aryan and his men on the ground.

                  Minutes later after the long drive.

Aurelio stepped into the house with Erica in his hands. The maids around gasped immediately. They began to wonder who she probably was.

It was the first time they were seeing Mr Aurelio carrying a lady in this way into his house.

“Mrs Davis” He called the head maid immediately.

She walked to him with her head low in greetings. “Mr Aurelio, is everything okay? Who is this woman in your hands?” she asked looking at Erica’s pretty face.

“She will be staying here from now on, I need you to please help me freshen her up.. she’s unconscious for now though” he replied and went up the foyer to his room with Mrs Davis following him behind.

 About few minutes later, he got into his room and laid her gently on his bed.

Aurelio took close look on her face and took her hands slowly into his.

“Do you always have to protect me? Now you got yourself hurt again” he said lowly but Mrs Davis could hear.

He stared at her beautiful face for sometime then sighed. “Take care of her, I have something to do immediately” Aurelio said to Mrs Davis as he stood up.

“I will sir” she replied with a bow and watched him leave then she turned to Erica.

“I don’t know who you are but I can tell Mr Aurelio really cares about you. For the first time I am seeing him this way with a woman” she said lowly

  Aurelio walked out of his room and called his grandpa immediately.

Without wasting time, his grandpa answered the call “Aurelio! My grandson!, How are you doing? How’s it going?” he heard his voice from the other end.

“Really good, I’ve got good news for you.. and not just you but father” he replied

“I like that, I’ll be coming with your father then, have you told him already?”

“No not yet, and one more thing” Aurelio replied

“Which is?” 

“What’s the consequences of betrayal?” Aurelio asked

“I believe you know that so well”  his grandpa replied

“I sure do…”

“ Punishment, torture……………….and death!” 

“We’ve got someone to deal with tonight” Aurelio replied with a smirk.
