~Ayra~

The sound of sirens going off was all I could hear as I was being handcuffed by the female cop before me. My hands were bloody and my skin pale like a corpse.

Dressed in my dream white wedding gown which was now stained with sweat and blood, I stared at a distance dazed and confused at what happened just a few minutes to my wedding to the love of my life.

The emergency team came out of Simon's house my late fiance. With a black body bag, at the sight of that, my heart shattered and was left in crumbles.

Darkness loomed over me in contrast to my white gown. I felt life sucking out of me when they lifted his body and placed it at the back of the ambulance.

“No!” My voice echoed.

I made an attempt to rush after the moving ambulance but I was caught without stress, my veil clinged to my head like sadness as I watched the ambulance speed away.

I couldn't remember what exactly happened and how we both ended up in this situation, all I remembered was going to his room and everything that happened there remained a mystery to me.

I was too shocked to speak or react to this whole process. The wails from both families and friends echoed through my ears. I stared at each of them while they stared back at me in disgust and anger.

I watched Simon's mum desperately trying to break out of the hold on her to rush at me. The Cops behind me nudged me gently and they led me to their van.

There was no doubt that I was the happiest and most beautiful woman on earth. Today was my big day, the day I'll walk down the aisle to finally become one with the love of my life. Simon Anders.

We've waited for four years to finally be together after a few setbacks stopped us. Regardless, we made it through. I stared at my reflection as my chief's bridesmaid who was also my best friend Alicia, helped me with my veil.

“Look at that, so beautiful. I have a feeling that Simon won't be able to take his eyes off you today.”

I blushed, my heart tingled in excitement. Our eyes met in the mirror and we both shared a smile.

Alicia was one of the key aspects in Simon and I love story, whenever we fight or have little arguments, she was the one who always brought peace to us.

“I'm lucky to have you, bitch.”

Alicia cackled in laughter and turned away from me, “I wouldn't say the same for you,” she returned to my side with two glasses of champagne. “You've troubled me ever since we were kids, always getting in trouble and I get to fight on your behalf, and the worst part? I suck at fighting!”

I giggled at Alicia's words, she handed me one of the glasses. I wasn't sure if I should be drinking just thirty minutes to my wedding but since it was just one glass, it would be fine.

I accepted it and lifted it up slightly. “To a new beginning in our lives, fancy vacations, a trip around the world and lots of babies..”

“Cheers!”

I lifted the bottom of my glass and gulped the whole thing down. The liquid slipped down my throat, I smacked my lips in satisfaction. Alicia was kind enough to accept my empty glass. She left the room to me and returned shortly with a small kitchen knife.

“What's with the knife?” I questioned skeptically.

“Your lovestruck fiance wants me to give this to you. I'm not good at keeping secrets but I think he has organized a surprise for you..”

My brows furrowed slightly as I accepted the kitchen knife, what could I possibly need it for? I examined the knife thoroughly still skeptical about this but there was no reason for Alicia to lie to me.

“I wonder what he is up to. He never ceases to amaze me. Where is he?”

“His room..”

I sighed. I lifted my gown slightly to enable me walk freely, I left my room and began heading down the hallways. Suddenly, I staggered forward feeling lightheaded.

The knife I was holding slipped out of my grip and slid across the floor. I crouched to picked it up with a deep groan, my heart began racing and my face covered with sweat.

“W—hat is going on?” I brought my hand to my head.

The hallway spiralled before my eyes but I was still desperate to reach Simon's room, I stood up and continued dragging my feet across the floor until I got to his door.

At this point, I was short of breath. I leaned my weight against Simon's door only for me to stumble in. His hazy image appeared before my eyes.

“Arya!”

At night, I was busy pacing around the room waiting for my husband to show up. He already made it clear that he was looking forward to our wedding night at the registry. I took a long bath and also took my time to shave my pubic hairs, i had to look fresh and clean for my husband. I was dressed in a sexy red nightgown, all that was missing was a man to rip it off my body. An hour passed by and yet no sign of him yet, I left him two hours ago downstairs as he was drinking to himself. After a few more minutes, the door finally opened. I sprang up to my feet, my heart racing as I heard his footsteps walking in. He took a long glance at me before turning his back against me. “What are you doing still up? Go, get some sleep..”His words took me by surprise, embarrassment washed over my face. What must he be thinking about me now? He was the one who got me anxious for no reason at all. “Arya..” He called softly, taking me out of my trance. I turned to him. “Go to bed, it's late alread

~Arya~It's been months since I had a deep and relaxing bath like this one. ~Arya~I refused to accept the glass of water Karl was stretching to me at the moment. I squirmed on my seat unable to control my heart from contracting. The pain was unbearable, they betrayed me and the way they sought to get rid of me was by locking me up? I gave those two my all. I made them feel how loved they were by me and yet this is the way they chose to repay my kindness? “I trusted them with my life. Alicia was the one who gave me that knife and I can't remember anything that happened in that room afterwards..” I explained in between sobs. “Did you drink or eat anything that morning?”I fell into a deep thought, what was he suggesting? Could I have been drugged on my wedding day? I suddenly had a very vague memory from that day.“Uh.. yes, I remember drinking a glass of wine or champagne that Alicia...” my words slurred. “.. gave me” The realization hit me hard.I snapped my head to him in shock, I was indeed drugged. That was the reason I was feeling weird that day and a

~Arya~I inhaled a deep breath as soon as I stepped out of the confinement I've spent the last couple of months in. That was a fresh breath of freedom, I stared at the back of my palm, my skin was rough and my fingers long and skinny. I never imagined that I'd ever be a free woman again and all thanks to this unknown man who came to my rescue. I wasn't sure if my landlady would be willing to let me back into my apartment. I watched the lawyer and Karl walk towards the fancy black car at a distance, I stood back without moving. Perhaps this was where we say goodbye to each other. The lawyer got into the front seat and Karl opened the door of the backseat. He hesitated for a second before looking my way. “Are you coming or not?”“Huh?” I was stupified for a second. I pointed to myself in shock while taking a glance around to be sure that he was talking to me. I saw him mutter something under his breath before he left the car and began walking towards me in large strides. He stoppe
