Raquel’s POV

I was going to throw up.

Or die.

Why had I lied and dug myself into a hole and then dragged Uma in with me? Why couldn’t things be simple? Why was I so goddamn scared to tell everyone that I was in love with Uma and she loved me back? I wish I didn't care so much what other people thought of me, especially my parents.

I would continue to be unhappy to appease them and that would eventually destroy me. I had to do something about it.

But not this week. It was birthday week for me and the girls. I had to at least get through it with no drama. Of course that required me coming out to yet another Leonidas. That whole family was going to know I was a lesbian befor anyone else did.

I nervously knocked on Zach's door.

He opened the door and smiled. “Hey Raquel. Uma mentioned that you’d be coming over. Come in.”

“Thank you so much,” I stepped inside and he led me to the living room.

I sat down stiffly and Zach sat across from me. “So…what’s up?”
