I headed back to the office after visiting Isabella at the warehouse and finding nothing but disappointment there. She didn’t have the material that I dreamt of, which means that it would have to be custom-made.

I sighed and put my head back on the headrest of the cab with my eyes closed. I fear I am going to end up having to make it entirely myself. We found the perfect fabric for the design, just the wrong print, and the print was what set it apart and gave it the wow factor. I rubbed my face with both hands.

The cabbie stopped outside the office building and I paid him what I owed, then grabbed my bag and headed to the elevators. I didn’t want to walk into my office and have all the ladies see me disappointed, so I put on a fake grin and exited the elevator when it reached my floor.

Mindi was there at the desk per usual and everything seemed perfectly fine, except that I didn’t see Emma’s brunette hair at her desk when I turned the cor
