Soft groans echoed around the room. Bodies draped over one another. Skeletal deformities. Whimpers and last gasps before death took hold. Black mist blanketed the ground. Tendrils snaked over and under the corpses at her feet. Tangled in the cold stench of death.

Another last breath. Life faded from a young Dark Witch's eyes. Dark energy pulsed from within her body, circulated from her and into Karmina. Slowly, she drank the life essence from the young Witch.
