Chapter Twenty Three

Aiden walked into the elders' meeting place with a heavy heart. He had been married to Asher for several years and they had been trying to conceive a child for just as long. Despite their efforts, they had been unsuccessful. He hoped that the elders could provide some guidance on what to do next.

"Good evening, elders," Aiden greeted them respectfully. "I come to you seeking your counsel on a matter that has been troubling me and my mate."
