Chapter 9: A glimpse of her memory
Staring at him while he’s asleep, Eileen saw the bruises on Carsons arms. Her phone started to ring, Tracey was calling her. “ Have you seen Carson?” Tracey asked and she’s worried. “Yeah, he’s asleep.” Tracey sighs, a sign of relief. After talking with her she sat on his bed and stared at him again. She can’t imagine anything worse happening to him, seeing him in pain makes her in pain too.
Eileen went outside to answer her phone; It’s from the same person before. She’s not able to answer the phone when she saw Amana running towards her direction with Adrian and Tracey with her. She quickly put her phone in her pocket.
“He’s asleep.” She smiled. “You okay?” Amana asked and Eileen nodded. “You sure? You look not good, did something happen?” She’s about to talk then suddenly her phone rings; the same number is calling he

Eileen quickly took her phone and she rushed to the training room. Panting as she pulls her luggage, everyone stares at her. After arriving at the island they were asked to draw cards inside the box at the entrance of the hotel they will stay in. The island is huge but there’s no one living there because it has a barrier on it and no one can enter if they’re not allowed by the maker of the barrier.Eileen was mesmerized by the view from her room, she can clearly see the sunset there. After fixing her things she took her phone. It has 10 miscalls from the old man, the one who claims to be her grandfather.She turned her phone off, put it in the drawer beside her bed. She lay down on the bed and took a deep breath. She’s thinking about things that have happened to her since she entered highland. There’s many bad things that happened to her that she didn’t expect to experience.

After what happened that evening, Eileen can’t stop worrying about her friends. Carson noticed that something’s wrong with Eileen; he approached her. They went to find another player, while walking Eileen accidently trip. She frowned in pain, her knee was bleeding again. Carson rushed towards her, helped her to get up. She can’t walk properly; she’s in so much pain. Carson grabbed her by her waist and helped her to stand properly, taking her underneath the tree. “ You stay here, I’ll get some help. I'll be right back I promise.” She stayed there and endured the pain. The wound is not that bad but the pain is more than usual. After minutes of waiting Carson is still not back, she can’t endure the pain anymore so she decided to go back. Using all her strength she stood up and started walking, She stumbled, her wound bleeding badly. “ Eileen!?” Someone shouted. She turned her back and saw Kevin worriedly running towards her, she sighs in relief, finally someone can help

Eileen asked them to find Kevin because he might know how Luke went in. They found him in his room and asked him to come back with them to Eileen’s room. They asked him if he knew anything about Luke, he said that it’s his first time hearing the name. Kevin also told them that the barrier was opened once, it was opened when they went to the island and closed afterwards. Adrian asked Amana for the lists of students, they found out that one of the students was injured before they went to the island and was not able to go with them. “What did he do to you? Eileen opened her eyes and saw Kevin reading a book. She sat, Kevin put the book down and sat beside her. “Glad you’re awake.” He smiled. “What happened?” She asked, scratching her head. “Your wound started bleeding. Your grandfather was so worried that’s why we let you rest. I understand that you’re in shock, I’m really sorry for not telling you.” He explained. “Is this why you entered the school? She wears the dress and looks at herself in the mirror. The dress fits on her well, the dress is up to her knees. Is this the time? Will she really meet her family? Will she remember everything?
