Chapter Thirty Three

Fabrico POV

A petit woman with shaggy brown curls attends to the door, her eyes bulging with fear when she sees us like she wasn't expecting company. She's wearing a white frail sweater, faded blue jeans, and white pumps covering her feet. "H—How can I help you?" She stuttered.

"Are you Stacy?" I ask and her eyes grow wider.

"I don't know anything. Please." She starts with a ramble and I quirk a brow at her, my patience running thin. I push open the door as rude as that was, entering into her home, my eyes searching around for any sign of Selene but there was nothing unless the faint smell of her floral scent. She was indeed here.

"Where's Jake?" I ask.

"He's not home and you really should be leaving!" She spits before walking to stand in front of me. Then I notice the dark spots on her arms and neck. She's a victim, I can tell because I know what he's capable of. I know the things he'd done to Selene in the past. How could she have trusted him so blindly?
