Anna

I wrapped the bandage around the old man’s hand and he nodded at me appreciatively.

“Thank you, nurse,” he said. “I’ll try my best to stay out of the bar now.”

I smiled and turned around heading out the door. Lana was standing by the door when I came. She had a smile on her face and I wanted to wipe it off.

“Seems like you made a friend today,” she said leaning off the doorframe as I walked out of the room.

I clenched my jaws trying to keep myself together. It had been an hour since I arrived and I was slowly getting tired. Maybe I should have stayed home or gone somewhere else. But where? I didn’t exactly have a pass here. Even though Rohan and I were in a sticky situation, I was certain he still had eyes on me.

“Okay. We are heading to our last patient of the day,” she said as we walked through the busy hallway. I was surprised that the hospital had so many wards. There were many nurses as well who assisted the handful of healers/doctors who were available.

DamonI sat up on the bed, my shoulder flaring in pain. It’s been a long time since I felt this kind of pain, and my speed healing hasn’t helped much. Now I understand how dangerous vampires were to us. The room was quiet except for the buzzing of the heart rate machine sitting before me. I was done sitting around. It was time I headed back to my pack. Who knew what could be happening there? As I stood on my feet, the door creaked open and Rohan stepped into the room. He was surprised to see me on my feet already. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he said. I scoffed and tore off the IV from my wrist. I was done sitting around. This place was haunting me. Yesterday, I swear I smelled Anna in the hallway. It felt like she was so close. There was no doubt that she was here. I had to see her before I left here. “Thanks for the concern, Rohan. But I’m done here,” I said, trying to take off the hospital scrubs. “Yo! Slow down!” Rohan shrieked in fright. I turned him, amused that he wa

Anna I arrived at the hospital a couple of minutes later and I felt a chill go down my spine as I stood before it. Rebekah was going to get mad at me for coming at this time, but I needed it. There were things I needed to do here. I didn’t want to be home, it reminded me of the ghost of Rohan who hadn’t shown his face ever since that night he left in a rush. My stomach churned as I thought about him. What was I doing? I’d told him to reject me, but now I was happy that he didn’t. I couldn't understand it. I felt lost. I already had a mate. His name was Damon Smith, and even though he didn’t see my worth he was still mine. But so was Rohan now. And I didn’t know what to do. What would happen if they clashed because of me? No. Damon didn’t care that much. The only thing he wanted was his child, and I wasn’t going to give him that. This child was now mine. It was my responsibility, especially after I tried to kill it. There was no excuse for what I did. Naomi had saved me from maki

AnnaI woke up to the sound of my alarm with a smile on my face. The morning sun washed into my room, bathing everything in sight with its golden light. Today was going to be a good day. I had a good feeling. Today, I decided to have a good day. I rose from the bed and stretched myself before hitting the bathroom. After showering up, I dressed up in blue jeans and a black shirt. I knew that Rebekah was going to give me that look of disapproval before I changed into my scrubs but I didn’t care. She’d told me once that I needed to wear clothes that made my abdomen free because of my pregnancy, but I didn’t feel the need to. Ever since I left the Blue Valley pack, I haven’t had a problem with my pregnancy. There was no kid or pestering from the child. It was almost like they’d gone radio silent. I was happy. I got downstairs and found Stella making breakfast. Today was Sunday; her day off which gave her time in the kitchen. “You should have made me make breakfast,” I said as I walk

Rohan“Rohan. This is the most terrible idea you’ve made in your life,” Jarred said as we watched the nurses roll Damon to a ward on a bed. I sighed and rubbed my hand on my chin. He had saved my life and I was grateful for that. I couldn’t leave him to die even though I didn’t like him. Damon was going to get better. And we were going to go after Cassian when all of this was done. “Alright. I’ll see you tomorrow,” I heard Dayton say on the phone from a distance before coming back into the hospital. He sighed as he shoved his phone back into his pocket. “I just got off the phone with my Luna. I told her what’s going on. She’s pretty shocked, but she understands.”I sighed and nodded. “Are you sure he is going to be alright?” Dayton asked. I nodded, tightening my jaws. Damon was going to be fine. But as soon as Rebekah smelled him, she was going to come after me. It was a terrible idea. And worst of all, Anna worked here. If she found out that Damon was here, she was going to freak

Rohan“Wait a second,” Jarred asked, holding his flashlight. We all turned to him thinking that he had something to contribute, but he looked genuinely scared. The fright in his eyes was like an illness I had never seen before. He was the only beta in the room, he must be terrified by the aura oozing from all of us. I was surprised that he was still on his feet. “Who’s this guy again?” Damon asked, pointing his thumb at Jarred. I rolled my eyes before answering him. “That’s my beta, genius.”He looked at me completely irked and with a cranked eyebrow. “You brought your beta here?”I was lost by his question. “What would you know about having a best friend?” I asked. Damon clenched his jaws as his lemon eyes glared at me in rage. His hands balled into fists and I knew he was ready to go another round. This time I wasn’t going to back down. I was going to give him. “Can you guys slow down for a minute?” Dayton asked, irritated. “We need to figure out what’s going on here.”“Who
