Chapter 1

There she was, sitting in her class waiting for the bell to ring, watching the clock tick by.

**tick tick**

'So close to being able to leave this hell. I just need to make it out of class then down the hall without being noticed and I'm home free'

Sitting there, her finger tapping the desk to go with the seconds ticking by, anticipation filling her as the clock was about to strike three.

'Five, four, three, two....'

***Bells ringing loudly***

"Okay class! Don't forget the reading assignment! Have a great weekend" the teacher calls out over the children speaking now, as she shakes her head slightly looking at the kids as the hustle out of her classroom.

"Miss Davina, please wait a moment before you leave."

Her head whipped around quickly as she went to sneak out the back door.

'Great, if she takes to long talking I will definitely be noticed trying to leave now'

With a defeated look on her face, she lowered her head as she turned to walk back towards the front of the class. She stopped short of her teachers desk before finally raising her head.

"You needed me Mrs. Castro?"

"Yes dear" she looked up from her paperwork locking eyes with me "I know you have been struggling lately but I need you to participate more in class, you are far to quiet, never raise your hand, you don't speak to anyone. Listen, part of your grade has to do with participating in class, I want you to maintain your A average so you are going to need to do that more often."

She looked at her with soft eyes, concern in them as she spoke to her student, she knew she hadn't gotten more on the shy side this past year, uncertain as to why, but she was worried.

"Yes ma'am, I will try harder, thank you." She lowered her head again "May I be excused?"

Mrs. Castro looked at her, she frowned slightly before allowing her to leave.

"Yes dear, you may go now."

As Davina exited the class she saw that the halls were mostly empty, with a deep breath she looked around before finally stepping fully into the hall.

She quickened her pace as she descended down towards her locker. Upon reaching her locker she unlocked it, pushing some books in while taking others out she knew she would need for homework over the weekend.

As she turned to leave she had a strange sensation that someone's eyes were on her, her breath hitched as her heart started to race.

Closing her locker, she started to briskly walk down towards the doors that led outside. Right as she hit the door she felt a presence wash over her, hesitant to turn around, she went to run out the door when she was instantly grabbed by her backpack, falling back hard onto the ground with a loud thud as she whimpered because of the pain from the impact.

"You weren't supposed to knock her down."

She swore she heard whispered before they finally spoke to her.

"Leaving without saying goodbye are we? You avoided us for long enough today Davina" a strong voice rang through her ears sending a shiver down her spine.

"Yes, how could you try to leave before seeing us at least once today our little one?" an even colder voice spoke sending shivers throughout her entire body.

Tears filled her eyes from the pain of how hard she had hit the ground when she finally looked up, her black hair falling back off of her porcelain face, her big blue eyes looking up at the two guys standing above her.

Her bottom, perfectly plump pink lip quivering slightly as she tried to gather her composure as she attempted to stand up.

She was only 5'3" compared to their 6 foot, broad frames that dominated her.

"I didn't hide from you, I just was late today and Mrs. Castro kept me after class, I apologize."

She lowered her head as to not look at them, fear running through her body as they stood there, their auras full of dominance it nearly knocked her back down as it rolled off of them.

For the past year, since these two, Ragnar and Leif, have come back to the pack after being gone for five years at Alpha/Beta training, they have made it their life's mission to torture her. She was still uncertain as to why, but they honed onto her from the night they came back to the pack at their welcome dinner, it's been this way since.

***FLASHBACK***

Getting ready to go to the welcoming dinner for our future Alpha and Beta, Davina, along with her friend Anabel, were getting ready. Anabel kept talking about how excited she was to see them, wanting to see how handsome they must be.

"Can you believe it!? They are 17 now! Just like me, you will be there soon enough. Can you believe in two weeks you get your wolf! I'm so excited to see Alpha Ragnar, I bet he's dripping with sex, he was hot when we were little, I can only imagine what him and Beta Leif look like now."

She was talking so fast Davina basically tuned out, just nodding along while agreeing every so often.

Davina wasn't feeling excited about seeing them, honestly when they left to go to training it broke her heart. They didn't even say goodbye to her, making her feel as if everything they had done together had meant nothing to them.

Her being the Gammas daughter never mattered to them, she was shorter than everyone else their ages as well as just a tiny little thing that couldn't really keep up. She lived to read, hoping one day she would either write herself or go off to college, leaving this pack for good.

"Come on! It's time to go!" Anabel yelled out bringing Davina back from her thoughts. She nodded as they headed out down to the packhouse.

When they arrived they met up with Davina's parent who arrived over an hour ago for a meeting with the higher ranked members of the pack.

"Davina, honey, that's what you chose to wear? I thought I left out a dress for you that I felt was right for this occasion. We are supposed to be dressed a certain way my love, you have enough time to run back home and change, now dear. Scoot scoot!"

Davina sighed, her stepmother not even giving her a chance to speak, her father looking at her sympathetically before motioning his head for her to go.

"I'll be back Ana, sorry"

"Told you to wear it!" her friend yelled out as she sauntered off back to the house.

She put the dress on her stepmother chose, it fit like a glove, which Davina hated. Ever since she filled out, quite generously, she hated wearing tight clothes, they made her feel to exposed to the world.

The dress was a deep blue, which enhanced her eyes greatly, making them really stand out, her black hair in curls, cascaded down the back of the open back v cut of the dress the went down to just above her butt making her feel even more insecure. Little curls shaped around her high cheek bones gracefully with smokey eye shadow and a light shade of pink upon her lips. The dress hugged her curves, showing off her tiny waist before flowing out over her hips, laying just right on her bottom showing how perfectly round it was. The only part she liked was the fact that it covered her cleavage, thankfully.

With a deep sigh she headed back. She had taken so long she was officially late for the welcoming.

She slipped in, finding the table her parents had been at when she was bumped into someone knocking her back, she about fell when a hand wrapped around her, sparks flew through her body at the hold the person had steadied her from falling.

When she looked up, she was staring at the most beautiful piercing hreen eyes she had ever seen. Realizing she was being held she straightened herself, bowing her head "Thank you, I apologize for being in the way" She looked up to realize those green eyes were Beta Leif's. Her eyes widened in horror, she just knocked into the Beta.

"No worries little one, be careful." He smiled, but his smile sent a shiver down her spine, it was almost mischievous, his eyes dragging down her body as they flickered menacingly. He made her feel very uneasy. He also didn't act as if he remembered her which made her feel a pang of hurt inside her chest.

After that she found Ana, who was all googly eyed looking at the Alpha, then the Beta, she couldn't choose which to drink in.

Ridiculous, she thought as she stood there with her head down trying to not be noticed, however, she could feel their eyes on her, when she glanced up, the Beta, along with the Alpha were both staring daggers at her.

Everything after this night has been an utter nightmare for her.

***Back to the Present***

There they stood, making her feel smaller than she already does.

'Why? Why me?'

She thought to herself before the Alpha grabbed her waist with one hand, the Beta grabbing the other side with his.

"I think she's avoiding us, what do you think Beta?"

"Oh definitely, maybe we should teach her a lesson, she doesn't seem to learn from threats, it's about time we show her what happens if she avoids us."

Davina shot her head up to look between them, utter shock in her eyes along with pure fear.

Their normal threats were pretty mean, it was the slamming into the lockers as they walked past me, or knocking me down constantly, taking my books, or stealing my food. I swear they treat me as if I was an Omega, but because of who they are, I can't do anything about it.

"I'm sorry, I swear, I didn't mean to bother either of you, I won't ever avoid you, please don't hurt me." Her head was down again as she pleaded with them.

Their grips tightened on her before Leif leaned down to her ear, he brushed her hair off of her shoulder before pulling it out of his way. His hot breath down her neck made goosebumps form as a chill went through her.

"You may like the lesson little one, or you may scream for us to stop, either way you will learn your place with us."

He bent his face into the crook of her neck inhaling her deeply as she felt Ragnar pull her slightly closer to him, his grip so tight she swore his claws were coming out as he growled lowly.

"ENOUGH!" His aura wrapped around Davina causing her to shrink into herself as Leif lifted his head away from her.

"She has one more chance, avoid us again sweetheart and that lesson will definitely make you scream."

He pulled her from Leif's grip entirely before his other hand gripped her, she was standing completely in front of him.

Beyond nervous she didn't dare look to him.

"I ppppromise... I.... won't... avoid you. Umm either... of you. Please let me go. I'm sorry."

His grip loosened ever so slightly on his left hand, the right came off of her entirely but he brought it to her face. He gripped onto her chin tightly, forcing her head up, her hair falling away from her face as she looked him in his crystal blue eyes, his sandy blonde hair framing around his face as he looked down at her, barely touching his shoulders, his perfect lips slightly agape as he looked into her eyes.

"You can go Davina, for now, but soon you will never get away from me."

He released her, she stood there in shock as they calmly walked around her and out of the school.

Once she took a breath, she hadn't even realized she was holding hers, she grabbed her bag then quickly left.
